The Woodward Dream Cruise | Classic Cars, Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Custom Vehicles, and the Nostalgia of Fifties and Sixties!

2008 WDC Dates from Thursday, August 14th thur to Sunday, August 17th

Possible schedule of events below (subject to change)....nothing is set in stone as I am currently working on this and will be over the next few months. Registration form is now attached a $40.00 Non-Refundable fee is required for this years WDC 2008. Please read the form as to what this fee covers. Payment must be received by August 1st 2008.

The rate is $84.00 per night + Tax and includes a breakfast buffet. All
reservations must be received on or before 7/24/2008 (the "Cut-Off
Date"). A block of 20 rooms are on hold. Price after the 7/24/08 date will be the normal rate at that time. Guests can cancel their guestroom up until 6:00 PM day of arrival to avoid being charged one night room and tax charges.

Guests will need to confirm the area to wash the cars and the times with
the hotel directly once they check in.
Outdoor pool is open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (for gatherings later in the evening)

Thursday, August 14th
SSR Reunion Luncheon Pasquale's on Woodward from 12:00N until 4:00 -Meet and greet some GM Executives, Engineers, Designers and other great employees that helped in building of our SSRs. I would like to be at the park by 3:00 P.M. or before if possible.

Cost: $20 per person includes a buffet lunch of salad, potato, bread, Mostaccioli, Veal Parmiagiana, Roast Chicken and beverage.

Meet & Greet Pizza Party @ River Bends Park in Shelby Township MI
Bittersweet-Covered Shelter from 10:00 A.M. to dusk ($200.00 Fee) Please use it!!
Volleyball/Horseshoes are available including a Picnic Shelter and Flush Toilets
Pizza will be served @ 5:00 -6:00 P.M.
Please allow time We have the shelter from 10:00 A.M till dusk, Alcoholic beverages are allowed. Plan on packing a cooler for the day or whatever time you arrive to Michigan and spend the day here. This park is beautiful and I'm sure you will all enjoy it!!!! Consider lunch (packed in your cooler) while here and around 5:00 -6:00 P.M. Pizza will be served from Jets for dinner.

I will meet you all at the hotel @ 11:00 A.M. and we will caravan together to the lunch spots before crusing Woodward

WDC Day Windsupresser (Ray) rhobbel- supplies lot on Woodward . Lot Location: Chase Bank 26363 Woodward Ave, Huntington Woods, MI 48070. Arrvial Time 8:30 A.M. No earlier except those who are helping set up. Hamburgers/Hot Dogs/Chips/Soda (served for lunch on the lot at no cost to members).

What will we do for dinner Saturday after the cruise?.........

I have called TGI Fridays on Van Dyke just North of where you will all be staying. They will seat us around 7:00 P.M, for dinner and can accommodate a large group....... all we have to do is call a few hours before with a head count

Since breakfast is being offered by the hotel.......we will be doing a lunch instead 12:00 Noon @
One of the famous Spots for the Woodward Dream Cruise Duggan's Irish Pub. They will not take reservations..(be aware we may have to wait in line) I took wildcat66 here last year the day after the WDC and we had no trouble getting in. Please let me know if you are interested in meeting for lunch at Duggans. I will start a list under this section.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is an AMAZING event just outside of Detroit... The sheer size of it simply is hard to comprehend!! I think its something like 12 or 13 miles of every car, truck or vehicle ever made! Our lovely Hotrodgirl host the SSRFanatics that come out for the event... Do a search on Woodward & see for yourself!!
