Passing Plate?
I haven't run into the term "Passing Plate" before, but I take it that is finger-food? Since we'll be staying at the hotel and travelling, I'm open to suggestions.
I'll throw (gently) my little BBQ in the "trunk" and bring it down.

yes that would be a finger food please don't serve fingers
Suggestions for you would be dry goods....cookies, crackers, pretzels, doritos....anything that would not spoil for your distance We also have grocery stores around here and north of the hotel is a Super Wal-mart.

I havent ruled out WDC this year. I want to come. It depends on this mororcycle group that has been coming every year during that time the past 3 years. So far they havent made but one reservation and the head honcho hasnt called. Good thing is its not a big Harley rally the valley puts on so Danny could probalby manage himself. Its a private group that comes and there not as rowdy as the harley folks!

I am meeting Friday with a retired Police Office whom owns the Luna Kia Bar & Grill on Jefferson (I visited this place while cruising Lake St. Clair).
On Thursday's they offer an all you can eat pasta $8.00, live bands amongst other food items and drinks. Frank was excited to receive my call as he's been planning on adding car clubs to his Island Paradise. Kid friendly as long as the adult is with them
Here is the website for you to check it out.....he can also accommodate us inside should the weather not co-operate (but that's not going to happen )

Met up with Frank owner of the Luna Kai today Thursday's Meet & Greet will be here . Frank Sr. is a man that has some great contacts (including Jay Leno) as well as an impressive car collection He has gone out of his way to make our visit a memorable one including offering another special on the menu for us, roping off the outdoor(weather permitting) or indoor section for us and being certain to have a band that will be pleasant for all.
I will be adding this information in post#1 before the end of the day.....I will need to know if you are planning on attending this as they did request a headcount for seating .....time will be 7:00 PM (allowing a little downtime for those whom have traveled for the day). This is a great relaxing atmosphere that I am sure all of you will enjoy!
Plans for the Luna Kai soon is an expansion of a 400 room Cruise Ship Hotel with several of Franks car collection displayed on the lower level. Frank also said to come on down and watch the boat races in Mid July....a great view from the Luna Kai.
