C1Trob, thanks buddy...
for another successful event in Laughlin! Hard to believe that this event nearly doubled in one year's time...so many new folks to meet and trucks to see, it was impossible to do it all.
Lloyd and Gerry did an excellent job with the raffle...interesting new concept on how to draw tickets and greatly beneficial to the table we were sitting at! I don't know who donated and what was bought, but the variety of prizes was just awesome.
Many thanks to all who stopped by and said "hi", knowing it was difficult for me to get around. Lots of folks I didn't get to meet that I have conversed with on this forum for the past two years, hopefully there will be another time soon.

Boy did you guys clean up at the raffle. It seem like every other # Tim was walking up and getting some thing. Good for you and I am also glad to see you both made the trip along with your sore foot. Get better soon

Dang... I would have stop by and say hi too but I've never meet you before so I didn't know where you were. Hopefully the next get together soon and then we'll get to meet.
Hope you're feeling better now.

Kudos
Rob and Sharon, Lloyd and Gerry, Mike and Debbie, and all the others who helped make this a memorable weekend! If you haven't tried to organize a run, you can't imagine how much work goes into it, how many hours it takes, how many headaches you get from "stuff" happening! Way to go, folks!

I finally got home, and it sure is nice. It was a long drive, but well worth the time. Mike n Az. and I discussed how much fun it was to put faces to the personalities we have met from the board. New friends and lots of ideas of what you can do to your vehicles.
I would just like to add, and I know I said it at the Dinner, if so many of us can make it to your party in Laughlin, I am thinking that some of you all can make it to the Rally. I would also love to see you at the Colorado Run in Estes Park.
For all of those people who got the coffee, I hope you enjoy it, and if you want more, just sent me a note.

Terrific Show . . .
A great big THUMBS UP to Rob for organizing and pulling off such a great event. Maybe we'll double the number of attendees next year like we did this year ? 10
To Lloyd & Gerry (lloger), what a fantastic raffle. I agree, great idea to use the sacks to make it a "specialty" raffle. Over $3,500 in prizes and ca$h. . . can't be beat. 10
To Jeff (Blue Thunder), I sure hope once the record companies start signing you and you're rolling in dough you still remember us and come to these events once in awhile. What a terrific voice ! ! 10
Mike, thanks for the run to the London Bridge . . . we recovered from the train wreck nicely . The parking lot filled with GMC products was inspiring (Vettes, Avalanches, and SSRs) 10
To Tony (crzyrtr53), great "Mystery Run" . . . the Champagne Brunch and the Laughlin Auto Museum were spectacular and true to form you got us within inches of going to jail for crossing the bridge, approaching the dam, and doubling up for the pic ! ! 10

Not the fault of the drive-in
It is actually based on a time issue...... The Sonic was on Mountain time and the AVI Resort is across the river on Pacific Time.
Rob will tell you that it was actually the Regional (or District) Office in Kingman that pulled the plug on the Sonic run. Sonic is supposed to close at 11:00 AZ time. Since they are on the AZ side of the river and we were to leave the AVI at 10:00pm (CA time) and go over for desert........ The manager at Sonic had already agreed to stay open past his time to accommodate us, but the Regional Office got wind of it and said "NO" to staying open past "normal" working hours.
The Sonic was not to blame , the franchise and employees were ready to help us and stay open a couple hours past standard quitting time. The ones that need to take a lot of gas on this are in the corporate offices. Somebody didn't like the idea of bending a rule to accommodate the needs of the customer.......

Lets not rant on this thread about Sonic.....
This is a BIG THANK YOU THREAD TO ROB for making a fun and successful weekend....
I'm sure Rob will post the phone number of the corporate offices of Sonic so we Fanatic's can call and burn that Reg. mgr. for their bad judgement.....
Thanks Rob for everything! I am so glad I was able to make this trip and to meet you again, and meet fanatics from the West coast! Sorry I didn't get to spend more time with Artsmart, LT and a lot of others. Next time I promise to do that
don't swamp Sonic with bad letters but instead let them know how much our group in many different states love driving into their business and we hope that we can continue to support them in the future. some things are out of our and the local managers control
Wish I could have talked more with everyone!
