Beachside Buffet with Live Music and Fireworks!
Time Start: 6:00 PM Time End: 9:30 PM
Description: Listen to the sounds of Otis Bump and the Riptides playing the latest in Rock, Country and Blues... And the chefs will prepare a feast to celebrate the Fourth of July in style. Reservations are recommended by calling 719-538-4088

UPDATE 6/24/10 Hotel Charges
If you have received the $99/night rate at the resort your total cost will be $123 and change. This includes the really low local hotel tax and the service fee for the resort amenities. It also includes all gratuities for such things as the bellman helping with your luggage, and other service personnel. So, just wanted everyone to be aware so you don't double tip unless you want to.
UPDATE 6/23/10
After speaking with each of the organizing committee members we have decided we would like to dedicate this SSR rally to the memory of our good friend, Dailygolfer, and his family. We would like to memorialize his exemplary life as a husband, father, and fellow "fanatic". Therefore, from this moment forward, the SSR gathering July 5 - 9, 2010 shall be known as the "DAILYGOLFER'S PIKE'S PEAK or BUST MEMORIAL RALLY". We are all, in our own way, thinking and praying for you and your family my friend.
Update 6/23/10
Just received from Doug Ungemach:
Hi fellow fanatics, I am sorry to tell you I will not be able to make to the Colorado Summer Rally this year, due to my work load. I thank all of you for the invite and kindness and a special thanks to my Bro in law Joe (Slammer) Townsend .I hope I can make the next one, or come to Detroit for the Woodward dream cruise. Again I thank all of you.........................Doug Ungemach
We are very disappointed that Doug will not be able to be with us. But, we understand that sometimes duty calls, and there is no choice.
UPDATE 5-4-10
T-shirts for the Pike's Peak or Bust Run can now be ordered. These are very nice quality 50-50 blend to minimize shrinkage. This is a new transfer process that virtually eliminates fading. The t-shirts are black with a large event logo on the back and a small event logo on the left breast. They are available in med, lrg, x-lrg, and 2x-lrg only. The order form is a pdf file attachment in post #1. Please get your orders in by June 25, 2010 so we can get them ready for delivery at registration. You will like this shirt!
We are sorry to announce that the introductory room rate of $99 for our event has come to an end. Our event is during their busiest time of the year. The resort gave us this great rate for the last 3 months, but now must revert to their normal rate structure. We endeavorred to encourage everyone to make their reservations A.S.A.P. for this very reason. We certainly hope additional fanatics will choose to join us. If the regular rate structure is unacceptable, there are many hotels and motels in close proximity to choose from. Thank you for your understanding.
UPDATE 5-1-10 Patches for the Pike's Peak or Bust Run can now be ordered through Lloyd (LLoger). Here is the link to the order form. Colorado Rally Patches!.
The order form is also at the bottom of this post in the attachments. You are going to want these so order now!
UPDATE 4-10-10 - Please take note the Pike’s Peak or Bust Rally Schedule is now available as a pdf file at the bottom of this post along with registration and raffle ticket forms.
UPDATE: 2/15 - REGISTRATION FORM AND RAFFLE TICKET ORDER FORM ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST(#1)

Add Kenny & Dee Thomas. We had a great time in Glenwood Springs. We may have to stay over a couple of days because Dee wants to do a bunch of the things on the list, especially the Pike's Peak Cog Railway. We drove our 72
Vega Panel to the top in 72 or 73.

You have a problem with that?
Just tell them you are giving them a chance to have you attend by letting them know what you already have planned so there are no conflicts. Ball is in their court then and if you can't make it it is their fault.

Last time we went to Cripple Creek - it was in a snowstorm in a rental car. I thought they had already sanded the road - turns out it was a dirt road (the tunnel had collapsed and this was an alternate route). That dirt road was smoother than the Washington Beltway

Thank You Jeff and Big Tom for finding a great place for our summer rally.
Definitely count us in for the Pig's Peak Rally as we will likely find some good pig BBQ at Famous Dave's.
