Maybe we can join forces and make this summer The Great North American SSR Tour. We have close to 50 SSRs registered so far, and at least another 20 of the Northwest SSRs planning to make the trip tp Penticton.

4th Annual SSRs at the Peach City Beach Cruise June 24 - 27, 2010

The Beach Cruise finishes on the 27th, leaving a leisurely 7 days of touring, visiting and cruising on the trek south to Colorado.

Several SSRs coming to the Beach Cruise are planning on going on to Colorado, so maybe Wildcat can be the Pied Piper headed south.

Blue Thunder also know the way, so he could come up and recruit. I think Jeff has relatives in the Northwest that need visiting.

Ray,

We tried to get these two events farther apart, but the week of the 5th was the only week available in all of July and August and we really wanted this resort for our rally base.

Wish I could come up and join you guys, but BigTomChevy and I will be swamped getting everything ready here.

We sure wish you guys a huge success up there.

You know you could follow that group down and join us in beautiful Colorado. I guarantee you it is going to be a blast.

Wildcat

Not likely. We only had 4 or 5 days in the 90's this summer. Humidity is very low also. It should be very pleasant.

It could, but it would be on the dry side. Humidity would almost be next to nothing.

Thumbs up

The warmest temps come in August. July is usually with highs in the 80's and late July a few days in the low 90's at the highest. The low humidity makes the summers absolutely wonderful. I was raised in South Florida and still have a home there with my Red Line in the garage. Summers there are hot and perspiring. We love cruising the West during the summer in my Sling Shot from our home in Colorado.

How much of the road at Pike's Peak remains to be paved?

I went to the top a few years back on my Harley but I'm not sure that I'd want to take the SSR to the top.

Jeff and Tom,
The registration is going out in tomorrows mail to Tom.

Count Yellow Tub in!!

I just made reservations at the resort. Just a heads up... the $99.00 /night is for two queen beds... NOT a King bed! The upcharge for a King is $20.00/night.

We're in and looking forward to it!!!!!!!!!

and yes... we are getting the KING BED
