Tom and Dragon2U,

I have been trying to reach Lee @ the resort since Thursday. Finally reached him this a.m. We have 57 reservations, at the posted rate, posted at the resort. The original block was 25, and we raised the guaranteed block to 50. This means if the rooms are not taken we still have to pay for them. We are not comfortable guaranteeing any more rooms. The dollar value is $20,000 at this point.

However, Lee is working with reservations to continue taking reservations at the posted rate. These rooms are 2 queen beds each. We hope to have an answer from Lee later today, so we can make an announcement.

Thanks for your patience.

SSRFanatics,

We are sorry to announce that the introductory room rate of $99 for our event has come to an end. Our event is during their busiest time of the year. The resort gave us this great rate for the last 3 months, but now must revert to their normal rate structure. We endeavorred to encourage everyone to make their reservations A.S.A.P. for this very reason. We certainly hope additional fanatics will choose to join us. If the regular rate structure is unacceptable, there are many hotels and motels in close proximity to choose from. Thank you for your understanding
.

T-Shirts

UPDATE 5-4-10
T-shirts for the Pike's Peak or Bust Run can now be ordered. These are very nice quality 50-50 blend to minimize shrinkage. This is a new transfer process that virtually eliminates fading. The t-shirts are black with a large event logo on the back and a small event logo on the left breast. They are available in med, lrg, x-lrg, and 2x-lrg only. The order form link is below and is also a pdf file attachment in post #1. Please get your orders in by June 1, 2010 so we can get them ready for delivery at registration. You will like this shirt!

Mind telling me Sandy ... just how expensive are the Canadians stamps for mailing a # 10 size envelope?

Is the distance from home via the shortest route or via the route you drive? Mapquest would be good for shortest route. How you get there would likely depend on when you leave, and many are going via Penticton.

Hmmmmm, looks like we need an umpire to make up the rules on the furthest distance award. Guess I could always arrive via a stop in California

Langley BC to Hotel 1517 or 1556
Penticon to Hotel 1462
Warner Robins GA to hotel 1490 or 1554

Since I never do anything the easy way,

Pasadena, CA to Cheyenne Mt Resort via Arlington, WA, Penticton BC, Arlington, WA again 3210.66 miles

actually, from my experience in the past, it's from your home to the venue - shortest route as per mapquest. A couple years ago we were on a month long road trip and ended up in Laughlin before heading home. Tons of miles but we didn't win the long distance award (lost to Copo Chris) because they did the Mapquest thing. So I guess I'm just assuming that is the "car show" rule of thumb.
But look how close we'll be so I just threw that out there that we could share

I agree. My trip to Kerrville is an example where my miles did not count for the BobA award. I just had to jump into the game here.
