Dash Plaques

Has anyone ever considered making "dash plaques" for all the events?
I was involved with Score Desert Racing for over 20 yrs and we always had dash plaques for every event. This might be an alternative for those who have no use for patches or it might be a nice addition for our memorabilia collections.

Just thinking in print (vs. out loud )

I have a collection of dash plaques from way back when I used to show my 64 vette. Each has a special meaning for me. I would like to see them happen here. Thanks for bringing this up YELLOW TUB!

Your welcome!!

I used to have quite a collection with 10 races a year but the "ex" ended up with alot more than just the $ . I'm not sure how to go about provideing this to people but I would be open to help someone who knows about this. I think it would be a great addition for all of us. I guess we would need to have a "buy-in " from everybody who puts our events on as the artwork would need to be shared or they could just handle it with a "goodie package" and include it in the registration fees. I know I would be totally interested for each and every event we attend.

I like your idea Bruce for a dash plaque as we can only put some many patches on our clothing.

Jeff,

That was exactly my thought!!!

My intention is to start a collage and frame them as I did with my last race poster and memorabilia from back in '92. I intend to include a shirt, patch and what ever is avavilable from each event into a framed piece of "art" for each run.

Now, I just need someone who knows how to do this to step up and get it started... I came up with the idea and now my brain is fatigued...

Its a small square metal with adhesive back that has the Laughlin logo on it...you got one along with your meal tickets, etc. when you checked in...the patch looks similar. I did have a couple extras but shipped them out to a few fanatics that couldn't make the run

Most screenprinters will make them up...cost normally runs about $1-1.50 each, maybe less...the more bulk the fewer $$. We have given them to Laughlin participants every year and they have the same design as the tee and made by the same place. I think it should be up to the run to provide them or not...my $.02

And that is why I was hoping we could get "buy in" from everybody so we would always know we were going to get them. At that cost I would think it would be a non issue. Shoot, I was thinking it was 3-5 bucks.

...

I had made magnetic ones for the first Canadian run here in Essex county 2006.

And I made some up to take down to Gina for the first "Maggie run" 2006.
(Samples travel with the Focks Duck Soup)

I have a stack of 60 / 70 old metal ones packed away. Lost some that where applied, when my old beer fridge was junked.
