At the 9200 mile point in my trip to and including Kerrville runs I have an average of 17.6 mpg on premium varying between 91, 92 and 93 octane. I hope to improve that on the rest of the journey with less around town stop-n-go driving. The prices have varied fro $2.43 to $3.25 per gallon. some has had ethanol and some not.

I, obviously didn't drive near as much as everyone else (approx.500 total commuting (214 roundtrip)/cruising miles) but was very pleased to have averaged 19.6 mpg and that is with Mrs. OP taking it out for the day of the tech session shopping with the girls
Kept my foot out of it on this trip also, that helps.

I'm impressed! You'd think that the doughnuts Mrs. OP was spinning at Fredicksburg in the parking lot would have dinged your mpg
SoCal to Kerrville - 1330 miles @ 19.9 mpg. 20 hrs. 30 mins.

Ummmmm, I drove a total of 600 + miles round trip from Fort Worth, TX at avg of 75 mph and back plus rallys and side trips with A/C on most of the time, Auto, and got 16.8 mpg but it was on regular gas. I should have been burning premium. Most of the miles , 8000+ are city miles as this was the first long trip we have driven in the SSR. I hope we burned off some carbon and cobwebs.
After a couple hours in Santa Fe, NM, for lunch at the Blue Corn (recommended by BigWave) and a little shopping, we are now in Albuquerque, NM. We are going to spend the night here and then stop by the Grand Canyon on the way home. So far we've traveled 2542 miles with 43 hours behind the wheel.

Well we made it to Tucson in one day. 10.5 hours of driving. Staying at Smokey's (Jim's) place for a couple of days, going to see Old Tucson.
Did every one here that John's ( Lady in red) transmission went out. He told me that he was stuck in Kerrville untill Tuesday waiting for a new transmission for his truck.
We have got 2100 miles + on the truck up to now.

Just updating......John told me that Greg Ducato has a tranny for him.
Greg came back to pick up John today in Kerrville and he is now in Weatherford, Texas
as Greg also wanted to install the tranny himself. Our SSR has about 139 or by now 140,000 miles.
A Hearty THANK YOU to you TEXAS Fanatics for helping him, especially
Machell (Wildcat66) and Kay (Furykay) for offering John your trailer and to let him drive your SSR!! Due to a missed communication on Johns' part, he didnt
get back to Kay but please know Kay that your offer was greatly appreciated!
John told me he got to drive Gregs big truck back to Weatherford, Texas.
Otherwise John would have been in Kerrvile until Tuesday to get another tranny. What a wonderful group of people we have on this forum who look
after each other like family! Sorry I wasnt there at the rally as I chose to spend quality time with my Grandaughter.

Liz... thanks for the up-date. We were wondering how things worked out. There's never a doubt that this Fanatic Family will always loook after each and every one of us out there On the Road! We're thankful it happened where/when it did so that he was not stranded. Glad it's working out.
Oh, yeah. MPG all trip long worked out 18.6 overall. Some legs ran just into the 20's.

We got home at 2 pm today. We left Albuquerqe, NM yesterday morning and made a little side trip to the Petrified Forest. Just before we got to the Petrified Forest there was a truck fire on the East bound I40. Traffic was backed up for 10 miles. Glad it was on the other side of the Freeway. After we left the Petrified Forest we drove up to the Grand Canyon, took a few pictures and headed for Williams, AZ. We got a motel room and went out for dinner. After dinner we were walking back to the motel and bumped into Luke (Lukyboy) and talked to him for a while. Total miles for our trip to the Texas Rally was 3439.8 and 58 hours 10 minutes behind the wheel. We averaged 20.0 mpg for the whole trip.
Glad to be home, but we're already missing everyone. Can't wait for the next one.

Great Week!!!
What a great week with so many friends!!! We got home about an hour ago and boy is it cooler here in Michigan-it is 61* at this time. Quite a difference, to say the least.
Our total milage was 3,551 for the round trip. We were able to spend the weekend with our daughter and her family in Houston and then headed home Sunday Morning. It is good to be home but miss all of you.!!!
Driveway back to my driveway 4,097.0 miles. to bring total miles on her to 29,803
My gas mileage is the worst of the group I think @15.5
that's running with traffic in town and around traffic out of town. 70 to 90/100 always 10 or more over limit. with 4:56 gear and fully loaded. My oil life went from 92% to 37% on just this trip.... hard miles I guess.

Some stuff added
We finally got home about three hours ago.
Total miles is 3,373.
My mileage was better coming home then going. (18.3 going to Kerrvile and 19.4 coming home)
My SSR: 05 Silver 1SB, Born on 08/25/04, Lighted WindsuppSSR, Flowmaster 40, Black Wheels w/ Firestone Tires
We drove a total of 2,868.2 miles, used 162.55 gallons of premium fuel for an average of 17.65 MPG. Not bad considering I was pulling a trailer with our luggage, tools, and some rocks (that's another story). We went to Corpus Christi after we left Kerrville. Drove out onto Padre Island, toured the USS Lexington WWII aircraft carrier and the Texas State Aquarium. We then went to Hot Springs, AR for a couple of days, then to Grand Lake at Grove, OK. We finally got home Wednesday afternoon July 1. We had a wonderful time at the rally, looking forward to many more.
