The Focks Duck Soup AUCTION . . .

. . . is OFFICIALLY OPENED ! !
Place your bids in this thread for the Fabulous Focks Duck Soup. This satisfyingly succulent soup will be delivered to the 2nd Annual Laughlin SSR Run on January 26, 2007 by Debbie (hotrodgirl). This culinary concoction will cruise the strip in Laughlin, savor the chocolate sundaes at Sonics and delight in the winter climate of the Nevada and Arizona deserts. This World famous can of Texas Pride will be auctioned off to some lucky SSR Fanatic in the weeks to come.

So, open up your wallets you proud particular Fanatics ! ! This couldn't be for a finer cause. All proceeds of this auction are to go to the Springfield Super Rally in Springfield, Missouri being held June 11-14, 2007.

The auction starts NOW and will END at the Laughlin SSR Banquet Saturday night, January 27th, 2007 at the AVI Resort & Casino (closing time to be announced).

I've just learned that the live internet bidding for the auction at the banquet WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE as the money-grubbin' AVI Resort and Casino wants to charge us an exorbitant rate to setup a live feed to the banquet ! !

Sooooooooo, be advised, WEBSITE BIDDERS, the Fock's Duck Soup AUCTION will CLOSE on Thursday evening, January 25th at 9:00 PST. I'm sorry for this as I wanted ALL Fanatics to be able to participate in the final bidding of this FINE FOWL CONCOCTION.

For those attending the 2nd Annual Laughlin SSR Run Banquet, the bidding will close at the banquet.

The Winning Bidder will determine where and when the future auction will be held and for what the proceeds of that future auction will be used.

I do hope, all past and future guardians of the "Focks Duck Soup" will add little memorabilia to the book that travels with it.

Pictures, notes and take time to mark the maps of its travel’s.

Nice bidding guys! Thanks to Ross who set the benchmark with the first winning bid a year ago.

I guaranty none of us will ever win the Nextel cup or Stanley Cup. But all of us are capable of winning the Focks Soup.

Who will earn the honor of being the next guardian?

This is one on my "To Do List" for Laughlin. I will have the documentation ready before handing it over I have three pages to add as the Duck Soup did a lot of traveling with HRG.

I don't get it . . .

The Laughlin Event alone will have over 100 SSRs . . . at MSRP that's 5 MILLION DOLLARS WORTH of trucks . . .
The SSR Fanatic membership now over 5200 enjoys a MSRP value of 260 MILLION DOLLARS WORTH of trucks . . .

Fanatic members like Gina, C1Trob, hotrodgirl, lloger, kwhopper, Mike in AZ, BIG JIM, Marc, and others contribute vast amounts of their personal time and, probably, cash to make these mega events we enjoy so much come to fruitiion. For those of us that don't contribute time and effort, like myself, we must support these events with cash, Instead of coasting along on the coattails of these giant members.

And the best you all can muster for this terrific tantalizing can of Fock's Duck Soup is a measly $182 ! ! (thank you, Michael) When ALL the proceeds of this auction are returned to the membership in the form of raffle prizes and other goodies ? ? ?

I'm embarrassed . . .

I'm disappointed . . .

I hereby am raising the bid to $200.

With a mere 16 days left in this auction, its time to stand up and be counted.
