Really tho, gas here in central coast Ca is 3.89 for premium! and rising!
If the washington czar and dictator keeps his cronies in control, corporate control in govornment will just keep shifting the wealth to a point of no return, then the two class society will only have the elite with cars like ours!
Well lets hope for the best, and enjoy our blessings while we can!

Gas...

Figured this out myself the other day. Looks like about $200.00 from here to Springfield and return. That is if you keep your foot out of the gas.
Anyway...it can't get any better!

I MAY be able to parlay my trip back East to be funded (or partially) by my employer.

I may be working on a 'special' project that will enable me to visit some of the largest 25 POD's (Posts of duty). We have large centers in Kansas City and Austin - Plus a bunch farther back east. Now that would be a coup to get paid mileage + per diem + lodging & tie in a SSR Gathering!

1,716 mi one way for me / 1901 miles on the return trip thru Dodge City KS / Breckenridge CO / Utah / Ely NV / Lee Vining CA / up & over TIOGA Pass (Hwy 120) thru Yosemite back to K-burg... (If I don't get to travel for work)

I may get a little lucky as well....I work on Memphis's FAA program and they've requested that we come there for a week in June. I shall see.....

Well, I can't tack on any additional driving for Springfield - BUT, at least the work project won't affect the Springfield run!

My tentative schedule for the rest of the summer is:

May 29th - June 1st = Seattle

Week of:
July 16th - Austin
July 30th - Covington KY (Cincy)
Aug 13th - Atlanta
Aug 27th - Ogden or Oakland
Sept 10th - Andover (Boston) or Kansas City
Sept 24th - Wash DC

Hopefully I'll be able to meet a few more SSR owners during my travels!!!
