I'm in

I started a thread about 2 months ago and talked about it during the Air Show/Car show in Polk City. There was a lot of interest then. I am planning on going, at least until Montgomery. I'll make a final decision after the first of the year.............docrod

I've always wanted to do it and I'd love to do it this year but i'd have to drive 3031 mi just to get to the starting point. I wait for a more Westerly one, but have a blast.

Maybe we can hit this one together sometime. I will be up your way in June of next year. I have a Family Reunion in Burney CA. Just East of Redding.

Maybe we can have Lunch or Dinner.

Sounds good to me. let me know when you head up here we'll get together for a Veggie Burger or some Tofu. You know that in June there is the Peach City Beach Cruise up in beautiful British Columbia I'm planning on doing that one, so if you are going to be up here anyway......

Joining in Montgomery, AL

Paco and I plan to join at the car show in Montgomery, tour up to the car show in Nashville.

Then we will go northwest to Bowling Green, go on the Corvette Assembly Plant Tour. Then go west across southern Kentucky and Missouri, pick up Route 66 around Springfield and drive Route 66 where available down thru Kansas, northeast Oklahoma to Oklahoma City.

Then south to visit family in southern Oklahoma, and Tyler, TX. Then back to home to Picayune, MS.

We have driven Route 66 from Oklahoma City west to Amarillo before, so when we go to Flagstaff for the International Rally, we will pickup Route 66 at Amarillo out to Flagstaff, AZ. I am trying to get Paco to stay in one of the Route 66 motels, but she says that the Holiday Inn is as far as she is will to go to absorb local ambiance. Oh well.

I'm looking at doing the 1st three stops. this little circle...FWB to Cocoa Beach to Valdosta GA...to Montgomery, AL to FWB is about 1200 miles.

Probably be in Cocoa Beach on Friday so registration on Sat morning. Registration for 3000 to 4000 in one day is a BEAR!!

Anyone else interested???
