Exclamation Registration Fee

Ladies and Gentlemen.............

After receiving many e-mails and PM's I need to make you aware of the $40.00 per person 2008 Registration Fee.

It does not matter if you are not attending the banquet or pizza party or participating with us on the lot....this fee is still required....NO EXCEPTIONS. This years WDC the costs have risen including the WDC Lot (doubled) that Ray's provides for us. Ray has graciously covered that cost this year but unfortunately will not be able to cover it in full for next year.

We take a chance at losing the lot if a carry over or sponsorship for next year is not available. As stated on the registration fee you will receive a "goody bag" if you cannot attend.

The cost of the banquet is also at stake as I am held to a 60 person min. with a $500.00 deposit (carryover funds) placed on the hall we still have a hefty balance due three days before the banquet dinner for the WDC. After reviewing our situation for this year along with the costs and what is left from last years balance it was safe to charge a $40.00 per person Non-Refundable registration fee.

I cannot and will not make any exceptions and I am hoping that does not shy you away from attending. Please understand these events are not free and when money is available from previous years it is sent back into the WDC with some events at no charge to you as it was for last years.

Thank You

Debbie

Need to fill space at the Banquet

Local SSR Fanatics friends, family members, GM Employees and or SSR Related Guests (engineers...etc) viewing this thread........

This is an invitation to participate in the WDC banquet Friday night at the Club Gazebo (information is on the registration form).... I have to reach a min of 60 at $32.00 per plate. The room holds 150 person. You can send payments to the registration form address that is attached to this thread due by August 1st 2008. Please specify whom you know, members fanatics screen name or name also. You can pay the $32.00 per plate fee for entry into the banquet only The spread of food is fabulous along with an open bar.

With GM's decline I am not 100% sure I will be receiving any money for this years WDC from Chevy Club Connection. To date I have not heard a word!!!

As of right now we have 16 confirmed fanatics coming to the banquet per the registration fee's paid

If any of you have any one that would be interested in participating in the banquet....please let them know The banquet information and address is attached in post #1.

Anyone in the area let’s help HOTRODGIRL

She stuck her neck out to get a room for us, and has money on the line.

If you’re up for the Woodward event, take in the whole package and join the luncheon fun.

My thoughts

Looks like the majority do not want to attend the banquet! So be it. We can break up into small dinner groups and go to different restaurants like in years past. We can do most of our socializing/partying at the hotel anyway.
I think the number 1 thing to put our money towards would be Ray's lot on Woodward. Just my 2 cents worth. Debbie we all love you!

Hey guys

I'm not giving up I put a few forced calls into Chevy Club trying to get answers for the submissions I requested. Look I am held to the banquet so there is no getting out of it. I knew that when I signed the contract. If people are paying the $40.00 registration fee and it includes the banquet I'd be going....the banquet time is held late enough for most to attend.

The WDC numbers are much lower then I had ever anticipated for this year Can't change that! I'm movin on and won't let that take away from this being a great event.

Ray informed me that the lot rent doubled this year by the time he found out it was much to late to make any changes. He paid it.....however this unexpected turn took away from other things we were planning.

I still have money left over....it will be tight....I'll get thur it!! All I would like to do is have enough in the account to help Ray cover the lot fee for next year

I never run away from a problem I've been taught to hit it straight on....I'll make it work

Deb, I think you'll find that some of us will be willing to step up and help Ray out with the lot payment.

Helping Ray

We had already intended to do something for Ray this year. If you need some more money to help cover anything, we'd be glad to chip in some more. This event is one we look forward to and know we will have a wonderful time. We don't want any one person to foot the bill for it and we certainly don't want to see it go away for that reason.

My 2 cents worth as well.

Ray and I spoke he covered the lot fee for this year but sponsorship or a carry over for next year and the years after are necessary. The back bone to enjoying Woodward is the lot that Ray provides without it Woodward would never be the same. I can only hope that someone reads this thread and offers to help out with sponsorship for next year and the following years.

Ray has done a tremendous amount to ensure we have the best view on Woodward!!!! Last year I enjoyed Woodward more then any other year....I walked it, sat in the chair on the lot and watched the cruisers go by.....and enjoyed mingling with all of the SSR members....doesn't get better then that!!!

Even it you did not make the cut off for the discounted price at the hotel and the SSR Fanatic Reunion Luncheon there are still other hotels along the Van Dyke strip. Please think about coming and joining us.

I was gunna surprise you all - but i can't stand it anymore.

I've got reservations at the Residence - The federal govt rate was just about what the SSR special rate was...

I am attending a training class in Cincinnati - Flying in on Sunday the 10th - then driving up to Warren on Friday the 15th - I should be there by 6pm... (unless I divert toward Defiance Ohio - to check out a 2006 Pac Blue....)

I've got a flight back to California out of Cincy on Monday afternoon.

Just a thought...
Take a poster to the G.M. reunion luncheon, have the big dogs sign it.
Raffle it here on the site after woodward and have a biger base to draw money from,
THEN PASS IT TO RAY FOR THE WOODWARD LOT.

Oh... how I know about that all too well! I do not want a repeat of that again this year! I'm going up to the Chevy Triangle EARLY! I would suggest to anyone attending to try and get up to far locations early rather than wait. The busses will get crowded and also have to wait for the traffic as the day goes on.
