Make sure you request "National SSR Fanatic Club" rate. Rooms will be quaranteed with a credit card.
There will be no charge to your card until you arrive and cancellation must be made prior to 3 days before the rally.
Cutoff date is May 22, 2009 for room rate.

There is lots of local fare shopping and several self guided tours you can take if you arrive early or stay late.


WE WILL BE SETTING UP A CORRAL BIN TO TAKE UP DONATED STUFFED TOYS FROM THE FANATICS. WE WILL
THEN DONATE THEM TO THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT FOR GIVING TO ABUSED CHILDREN. FURYKAY TOLD US
ABOUT THIS IDEA.

It is going to be great. This is a must attend if you can make it work with your schedule. Now is the time to discuss it and if you are going to come please book your room. There is no pre-deposit to hold the rooms.

Watch for information about catered meals and banquet in January. Shirts and patches will be following probably in late February or early March.
We will also be updating the agenda as more information is set in place soon.
We are working on the arrangements for the entertainment for the banquet now.

Yes to the questions--
There will be shirts and patches and door prizes. Watch for information after first of year.
There will also be 2 catered breakfast and one hugh banquet with entertainment. Also watch for that information after the first of year.
We are adding the items slowly so everyone will not be hit with all the expenses at once.
And there will be the special Welcome Texas 09 fanatic bag and rally guide for all paid fanatics with many special items. It will include special name tags for everyone. We are also working on something special just for this rally.

I don't see anything about Garner or Lost Maples. I remember many summer camping trips to Garner, while growing up, spent lazily floating down the Comal. There's also a wonderful old dance hall built by the CCC in the '30s. Lost Maples has stands of big tooth Maple and many outstanding examples of Edwards Plateau flora and fauna. I think this would be a great day trip! I apologize if you've already got this covered.

We have all the day trips covered if you will check out post # 1 along with bus trips to San Antonio River Walk and Wildlife Safari tour at YO Working Ranch. The banquet is being held at Nelson City Dance Hall Saloon in Waring.
It will be something special.

There will be a corral bin at registration so fanatics can donate stuffed toys.
They will be donated to the Sheriff's Department to give to abused children.
This was Furykay's idea and a very good one for our group to do.

There is one main car wash in town but we have not made contact with them yet as to their services. We are going to look into that when we make our next run there in May to finalize everything.

After much consideration and accounting factors........

Steve and I will not make Texas this year Michigan's economic crisis has pulled us into a financial situation we are not accustom to as travel in the past was always doable.

He's (hubby) a man that likes to see me smile and happy....I'm taking the burden off of him as I know full well it's impossible

We have never been to Texas (passing through only) and would have loved to attend this great event

I am tipping my hat to all the front runners whom have stepped up to make this National Event an exciting one (the agenda is impeccable). and makes it hard to not want to be there

Pictures of this event will be as close as we can get........share them please

I will be canceling my room before the week is out

There are no mobile washers but I am going to talk with the manager of the Classic Car Wash in May when we go there. In talking to him on the phone he stated that they do hand washes and he might be willing to give us a discount.
