Okay, it's official...

November 9, 10 & 11, 2012 ...

Friday Nov. 9th pick up a caravan heading way south.... we meet in beautiful Islamorada at our hotel in paradise for a kick off party on the beach! Check in is at 3:00 and we'll all meet out at the Chesapeake's beach about 4:00 for a catered dinner with appetizer, dessert and libations.

The Chesapeake www.chesapeake-resort.com is totally booked. I have made arrangements with Pelican Cove http://pcove.com/resort_features.html to take up any overages. You will receive a discount so please mention that you are an SSR Fanatic. It's a nice, clean hotel and all rooms have an ocean view. It is VERY close to the Chesapeake so if you want you can even stroll across the bridge for the Friday night party!


Saturday we are having another car show in Key West , with a free-for-all kind of day hanging around Key West where there is tons of crazy stuff to do. I will have special parking for our SSR's and we will be offering discount tickets to many of the attractions including the Historic Trolley Tour & the Conch Train .

Some may care to stay in Key West for the Sunset Celebration http://www.sunsetcelebration.org/ at Mallory Square or leave earlier to go back and freshen up before dinner in Islamorada. We will have a buffet dinner at the world famous Worldwide Sportsman's Islamorada Fish Company, http://restaurants.basspro.com/fishcompany/Islamorada/ which is close to the hotels...

Sunday I would like to see everyone enjoy the Keys for what they are... we have kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, fishing and swimming right at our hotel, but I am looking into other things too, maybe a cruise down to http://www.bahiahondapark.com/ or maybe a glass bottom boat ride. There is also the Theater of the Sea near by, http://www.theaterofthesea.com/ and they have a swim with the dolphins experience for those interested. There are many captains with fishing boats next door also, http://holidayisle.com/islamorada-fishing/ for those who want to test their skills in our beautiful turquoise waters. If you loved Key West it's close enough for another day! Then a laid back, casual, sunset dinner at a restaurant close by the hotel called the Lor-e-li. http://loreleicabanabar.com/ This is such a beautiful place to relax and enjoy a sunset dinner. They will also be providing a buffet dinner for us out on the beach.


I will update this post as things fall into place....
Robert and I will be down there until Monday November 12th but please come early or stay later in the beautiful Keys if you have an opportunity. There is so much to do and see... or just stay and get in some good hammock time!

Please let me know in this thread when you have booked your room, how many people are in your party (1 or 2 ) and if you will be arriving in your SSR. Please don't make me hunt you down for this information.
