There has been a request that there be a run to Oatman for those that have never been or for those that would like to go again.
We are asking for a run leader to volunteer and for those interested in visiting this old mining town to post on this thread.
The run would begin after the show and shine on Saturday and return prior to the banquet with plenty of time to get ready. Oatman is a small distance from Bullhead and is a very interesting place to visit...just be careful of the donkeys There are shops and restaurants in Oatman and plenty of parking in the north end of town.

Yeah we might be interested in going there, heard about the place, never been there.( old route 66?) About how long does it take to get up there? I do know the place is real popular with the two wheel folks.

We'd be interested in leading the group to Oatman - but we are already committed to the Wagon Wheel for lunch after the Show and Shine. We are heading up there on Thursday - for anyone that gets into town early. Otherwise, is there any other available time for a visit? How about Friday morning if anyone is interested?

Most will not be arriving until Friday, early afternoon.
Since I am a Needles native (born and raised) I have eaten at the Wagon Wheel hundreds of times and visited Oatman (and Gold Road) more times than I can count (my dad and deceased husband worked up there), I will not be participating in either. Anyway, will have lots of work to do to get set up for Saturday night.

After discussing this most important topic with the charming Mrs. Duck, we are going to head to Oatman from the show and shine. She mumbled something about me being able to relate to the local livestock there!
Our schedule is very casual, head up there from the show, and we plan to be back at headquarters in plenty of time for the banquet saturday evening.
So we would be most honored in being the "leader" of this excursion if any others are interested.
Think about it and either post something here or find us in Laughlin
Margie and I would love to go to Oatman again!! Hopefully there won't be so much traffic this time. It is allways a fun and quick side trip, and the gun fights are still cool to see.

Well it looks like the weather is gonna clear up by this weekend!
Going by Google maps, it's about 30 miles up to Oatman, so plenty of time to cruise up there, do the touristy things, and be back in plenty of time for the party at the hotel.
For those of you with nothing better to do after the car show, this might be a fun way to kill some time ,and where else can ya pet a donkey?
Let us know if you're interested, we'll post a sign at the car show so you can find us.
