I have one of Dicktator's shift cable repair kits can I get that installed at the tech session in Laughlin?
While it is entirely possible to get it done, I do not know of anyone here on the west coast that has completed that task. (Too bad we can't get Dicktator to join us)
If there is anyone coming to Laughlin that feels confident in this, please speak up now, and we'll make the arrangements.

I'm not a "EXPERT" per say, but thru out all of my years of owning anykind of ride. I have learned to detail/polish my rides mainly because my Dad used to do it to his rides when I was a little guy. It's something that I have always done because I have always felt that I can do it just as good as a "EXPERT" and I enjoy looking at the results of my hard labor.
I'll tell you what there Don, you bring your touch up paint and I'll bring my 2000 grit sandpaper/Q tips/ tape/thinner and we will see about filling up your craters. After that I'll buff out your paint and you can watch first hand on how I do it and give it a try on your own SSR after you have watched me. I see you have stripes on you rig, are they stickers or are they painted on? if painted, are they clear coated ? if the detailers are there and you want to blow me off and go with them ..... That's cool I take my time because I do not do it for a living and I like to have a "POP" or two while I detail/polish Unlike last years "GIG" I will be getting there early Thrusday morning and get settled in, and not waxing my rig at 2:00 AM in the dark (which takes a lot of time)
BLACKIE
Thanks for your offer, the Pop is on me
The stripes are vinyl stickers....
Is there a paint supplier you have used before where I can get the touch up from, or should we try the Dr. Color Chip?
I have never used the touch up kit that you speak of. GM has the touch up paint that you need in the correct shade and then there is Dupli Color touch up paint at most major part houses. Like the GM paint, Dupli Color comes with the paint brush/pin combo in the cap that I like to use.

You can put me down for a shift cable repair on my rig. Heck, if a lift is available..... I'd be stupid not to use it for a few minutes to install the repair kit by DICKTAOR on my rig. Thank you River Run

Plugged in the common UV color code of U245E into the color search @ Dupli-Color and it comes up with no match. Where, oh where can I get some touch-up to fill up the craters in my back fenders while Blackie is doing his demo?

I ended up getting mine from the dealer. (they had to order it.)

Thanks Blackie, but I found some through Express Paint in Torrance. Ordered it and it should be here by the end of the week...had to use the "other" paint code found in my glove box that equates to the GM color "Radar Blue".
Will have Tim watch/help you fill my craters...I get a lot of them thanks to the wide-ovals, even though I have mud guards.
Ray, the GM and our show & shine sponsor, at Findlay Motors will be permitting the use of a lift and part of his lot after the Show & Shine on Saturday for a tech session.
Please post here if you have anything that needs to be done and/or if you wish to volunteer your expertise in any area. AC Rob (Rob) will determine what may be needed to fulfill your needs and if it can be accomplished in the amount of time we have prior to the Saturday night banquet.

I have a 2006 SSR and am thinking it is about due for a new battery. This is based on time alone. There are no other indications, but I would like to stay ahead of any issues. I have never looked at the battery installation, but will likely have to do so soon. Changing a battery may be a good thing to demonstrate with an SSR on the lift as it is likely that everyone will have to do it eventually, but without a lift. I also have the Bernie spare tire arrangement so am not purely stock as far as battery location.
Thanks

I am having an issue with my speedometer not reading even close to what speed I am driving. Is that repair included in the istrument cluster work? If yes sign me up.

Yes it is, and I'll get you added for a Speedo repair
