We're flying into DTW, arriving at 8:00AM. The reason I"m flying is my stepson is getting married the following weekend and I have to be back home early to help with the preparations. I had already decided to drive back and then they announced the wedding date. The only way I could go, was to fly.

i can only imagine.. wont tease you about it. I know how you felt when my truck was in the shop for 4 months getting painted, and the weather was beautiful and I only had my mopar to drive. Its gonna be fine, here, drink ths margarita.. chase it with ths tequila, and drink this margarita.
Tell you what, I will bring some Cachaca' which is a Brazillian Rum made from the sugar cane, and make some Brazillian Margarita's known as the "Capahina" You gonna love it.

I am now able to attend the pizza/margarita party so put me down Deb.
One problem. I have my room booked at the Marriott for Fri & Sat.
I wasnt sure I could come up on Thur. until a couple days ago.
Marriott gave me a good rate of $74 for Fri & Sat for booking in advance. But they want $139 for Thur. I will pay it if I have to it just tees me off!!!!
Is there a hotel close to them that I could check rates for? I know some of you stayed there last year.

Ignore this post, I called the Marriott back this morning, asked for management, explained the situation. Told them I would be staying at LaQuinta ($59, 1/2 mile away from Marriott on Thursday because of the rate hike)
The lady was very nice, didnt want to lose the SSR business and gave me the rate I had for the other nights.
So, see ya on Thursday at the Marriott.
