Rocky Mountain Run 2012

ANNOUNCING

ROCKY MOUNTAIN FANATICS present:

"THE ACES AND FACES TOUR"
TO:

BLACK HILLS OF SOUTH DAKOTA

DEADWOOD

CRAZY HORSE

MOUNT RUSHMORE

AUGUST 27-31, 2012*

*Dates are now locked down!

We will be staying at:

THE LODGE at DEADWOOD

Deadwood, South Dakota

Hotel link: Deadwood Hotel Photos :: Hotels in Deadwood, South Dakota :: The Lodge at Deadwood Gaming Resort

The Lodge at Deadwood is the premiere gaming resort and convention facility in South Dakota. The accommodations and ammenities are unsurpassed and the food preparation and choices are excellent.

Reservations are open now by phone only. 877-393-5634. No online reservations. We have received an unbeleivable room rate of $89 per night ($99.58 per night incl. all taxes), you may choose either double queen or king bed at the same rate. We have blocked 60 rooms, so get your reservation in now. Reservations may be cancelled as late as 48 hours prior to arrival. Remember, phone reservations only and the group name is SSR Fanatics.

Registration is now open. You will find the registration form in post #2 of this thread. We worked very hard to hold the line on cost. Our meals combined with registration is actually less than the Pike's Peak or Bust Run in 2010. Also included in your registration cost is the parking pass for Mt. Rushmore. We will have the helicopter in the air again that morning, and all of you will want yourself and your truck in the photo shoot.

Also in post #2, you will find the form to pre-order raffle tickets at discounted rates.

More information regarding golfing, t-shirts, patches, tours, and etc. will be announced as they are finalized.

2012 Aces & Faces Tour --> Golfing Info
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good News Golfers!

For those of you that would like to hit the links during the 2012 Aces & Faces Tour in Deadwood, SD. There are two 9 hole courses and one 18 hole course within about 12 miles of the event site.

Two are in the Spearfish area and the other in Sturgis.

Here are the websites for the courses.

Spearfish, SD:
SpearfishCanyonCountryClub.com (18 hole course)

GolfElkhorn.com (2 yrs old) (9 hole course)

Sturgis, SD:
BoulderCanyonCountryClub.com (9 hole course)

The Lodge at Deadwood, our hotel, will be happy to make reservations for you during your stay.

Although I didn't get an opportunity to play any of them, they looked to be in respectable shape as we drove past them.

Enjoy!

Deb and I hope to attend this Rally, it will be a GREAT event!

Blue Thunder and the Colorado Committee have spent quite a bit of time considering the venue for this event, I'm sure they will provide a great time for all!

Mark your calendars, you'll have a great time! Thanks to the Colorado Committee for hosting this super Rally!

Looking forward to it Jeff!

Deb and I won't be able to attend this super rally, we are taking a cruise to Alaska with our parents two weeks prior.

Deb and I have been fortunate to take our parents with us to many events in the past four years, we are all very close and enjoy the time spent together. The Alaska cruise will most likely be the last big vacation we will share with my folks, as they are getting on in years, but are young at heart.

Have a great time, and have a drink for us, we'll be there in spirit!

These things are always during my busy work times.
But I do understand you have to do this stuff during the prime weather.

Sounds like another great one! Would love to see this part of the country.

What a GREAT Location for a Run

Nancy and I will really try to make this one, depending on our theater schedule. Last time we were at the Black Hills was 5 years ago, like to see Crazy Horse. Does anyone know if Crazy Horse is completely done?

Jeff I know there are many scenic runs that are documented on the Sturgus motorcycle site, maybe a good place to research some great runs.

I know anything the Colorado group is connected with is well done, good luck with the event. Looking forward to more details.

Thumbs up

Sign up the SLAMMER's and we will do our best to be there. Not yet sure where the speaking tour will take me but we will try to schedule some fun time in the Dakota's.

Another great cruise is through the Bad Lands and Custer National Park. For sure a stop at Wall's Pharmacy as they have big dining areas and fun shopping.
