Dave is a good guy, it's always great to meet and get to know members in person, the Internet does not represent an individual like meeting and getting to know folks in person.
Look forward to seeing you again in Laughlin Uncle Dave! "Pops" are on me in the bar

Let me add that besides the names Uncle Dave & Sweetie that you gave to Blackie...let me also add the word "FRIEND" as something I am proud to now call Dave Larsen! He is a nice guy and a hell of a lot of fun!
And so are all of you great people I met in person for the first time!
I thought the very same thing about you when I met you! The pictures came out great at the dinner table and out in the rain! It's also a pleasure to have you as my FRIEND! I'm not know'n about this "SWEETIE" stuff though.... there Thumper,"Uncle Doug" & "DOG" I mean really now, how is this going to look when I sign my forum name ....
BLACKIE aka SWEETIE
See what I mean?
Regards,
Dave or "U/D" for short

Sweetie????? That is just not right?????? It just does not fit you...."Pumpkins" maybe but not Sweetie:
I have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard! I thought the (YOU) was on my right shoulder and the bad guy was on the left? Oh never mind Fuji..... No matter what shoulder you deside to rest your neck on.... You have no worries about RED DUDE anymore
Thank you Doug..... I agree This signature "BLACKIESWEETIEUNCLEDAVEPUMPKINS" will take up way too much bandwidth over time! Again thank you Doug.... Thank you very much
That's OK, cause you're a REAL Fanatic..... Don't Know When to come out of the Rain!!!!
Or when to wash his truck I could have sworn I thought I seen Sweetie washing his truck in the middle of the rain. Or maybe he was just checking something with a rag
I've been having some overheating issue during my trip home. Today, we took a look under the hood and notice we're low on antifreeze. Made a short trip to autozone and brought the required antifreeze like the owner manual says and I'm guessing we put in 24-32 oz of 50/50 mixer of water and antifreeze.
Hopefully that will get us home from Palm Spring tomorrow AM without any problems. If we do run into problens within the first hour or so, then I'll pull into icblue shop.
What a great event. Can't say anymore than what has been said already. I like to thank everyone for making my son feel part of the event. We are now in Denver after visiting Four corners, Monument Valley, Durango, Silverton and Ouray. Went over 2 mountains that were above 11000 feet and no guard rails.
We will get home to PA. Wednesday putting over 5500 miles on the trip.
Only downer was the flooding at home and not having my SSR at the rally.
Doug, Margo & Justin

we laughed, we told stories, we sweated, we burped............and that was only today at work I can finally now sit down to my 'puter and lay down my "thank you". Man, that was so much fun I treasure every memory and can't stand the thought of having to wait months and months until we meet again.
Dwight, good to hear you're not still in Yakima See what happens when you don't let us lead? And I have a photo of that very moment that I'll put on your thread.
Oh, and one more joke. This one's for Marty and Dee.......................
What's round on both ends and tall in the middle?

I kept expecting you to take the lead back. I only took it to show the A$$ ahead of you that he was really holding up the show if he could be passed by a trailer. I also had some words for the trucker who cut me off, after I got around him of course. I suspect those Corvettes are still talking about us too.

This was the 1st international rally Ump 13 and I have attended and boy did
we have fun. My 1st time to Sedona & The Grand Canyon and what a great group to share it with. Always happy to see old friends and meet new ones. Thanks to Betty & Fuji for letting me drive their new ultra violet to the rally A huge thanks to Doug Deb Elaine Duane Nancy Larry and the rest
of the commitee. You folks didn't miss a thing, hopefully you are all sitting with a drink and your feet up. Thanks again for a great time, till we see you again and Doug I still love that your a mushball
Thumper....You busted me!.... I was out in the rain washing "HELLVIS".....
Don't ask me why.... I just felt compelled to do so after how "UNCLE DOUG" had treated me in my stay at "ROUTE 66" if I had any "Holidays" in my jesture of kindness..... I would have dried "HELLVIS" also..... But the noise of my STHIL BG 55 air blower was not liked by some If they only knew..... It's only way to dry a SSR after washing the said rig in question?
Coming into Flagstaff on Thursday about 4PM we saw the road and houses covered with what looked like snow. SSR3 said he was in pea-sized hail and had to stop under a bridge. What a surprise to come up from Sedona with temps in the 90's to see white everywhere.

We're home now from Palm Spring. No overheating problems but we can smell antifreeze now and then so I'll take the SSR to the dealer later this week for a warranty checkup up.

I want to thank the members who planned, put together, and executed this terrific event. I had a great time. The rooms were exceptional and it was so great to see ole friends again. The trip back from Sedona up the canyon was particularly beautiful and I took many pics. Will get them on my webshots as soon as I sort them.
The ole girl now has 80,000 miles.
70 MPH in California and 75 in Arizona. I averaged a whopping 20.4 Miles Per Gallon ! ! I thought this was incredible.

Karen and I want to thank all the Route 66 committee for all their hard work! The Pink Jeeps and especially the Grand Canyon Railroad tour was a blast! It's great to be back home in Michigan after loging 5,000 beauitful miles on our R. It was also special to meet new and old Fanatics in person.
This was a trip of a life time for us thanks to (Harlyguy) for leading us out to the Rally.
