Route 66 Rally - horseback riding

First 15 on the list can do some horsing around on Tuesday afternoon, Sept 6th. The Mormon Lake Lodge that most of us are dining at on Tuesday night also has a stable. I thought it would be fun to go out for an hour ride around the ponderosa pines before dinner. Horseback Riding in the Coconino Forest at Mormon Lake Lodge, near Flagstaff Arizona
$30. We'll most likely be in the saddle by around 4 o'clock. Normally they are closed on Tuesdays but when I spoke to John there he said they would have a guide available for us. Bless their hearts.
So wear yer boots and jeans and git yer name on this here list. John would like a rough # by the 29th.

1. lloger (1)
2. turnheadz (1)
3. hdflstf (1)
4. OP (2)
5. Red Cat (2)
6. downshifter (1)
7. ABLUR05 (2)
8. CA Blackjack (1)
9. ssrmaddox (2)
10.Focks (2)
11. wildcat66 (1)
12. JACKWALDROP (1)
total has been reached, 17 is our absolute max for riders

waiting list:

Hmmm I love riding horses, but doubt you can get Diane on one. I'll live vicariously through you all.

Ya'll have fun now!

But I'll have to pass..... it seems them horses always know that I'm not comfortable riding and they like to make sure I don't stay on their backs! LOL

Been there .... done that.... don't need to do it again!

you could jump in with Art or Marv and Diane could drive your truck out later (with Judy).

Can't we just throw him over the saddle and tie him on?

I just spoke to Wayne and his intention is to go up to the Lodge with me. So Wayne and Gerry will be up there early to check out the place before supper if Diane wants someone to hang with, then she can just ride up with you Focks. And likewise, Judy can come up with Marv.......

I am updating list Hey, two more and we'll be The Dirty Dozen

I had lunch at the lodge on Sat. food was great. Going in hospital Sept. 1 for some back work, so I can't do any horse back riding. My only hope is I can ride my SSR to Flagstaff by the 5th.

Looks like we've got the 15. I'll call John tomorrow and see if we can top that up a few head. I've started a waiting list. So if you're interested keep the list growing.
Thanks everyone.

So here's the time frame for us, I'll also pm everyone this too, we need y'all at the stables by 3:30. That will give us time to sign the release forms, pay the $30, then meet our horsies. Then we're in the saddle at 3:45. An hour later we'll climb off and mosey bow-legged into the saloon
