So. Fl. to Springfield

This is my proposal for all you Floridians going to Springfield. Opinions and change suggestions are welcome. This route will allow folks from GA, SC, & NC, perhaps even TN to caravan with us for part of the trip.

Plans call for leaving So. FL and spending the 1st night in Dothan, AL, which is 521 miles and 7 hrs. and 45 minutes from WPB, which is my starting point.

Second day would take us through Birmingham where we could meet up with folks from GA and SC and spending the night in Memphis, which is 437 miles and 7 hrs. and 25 minutes from Dothan.

Third day would have us in Springfield around 1 pm assuming an 8 am departure from Memphis, a distance of 286 miles. If the Otters from NC and any of the TN folks would like to join us in Memphis for the last leg, we could arrange a place.

If the above is agreeable with everyone, I`ll check on rooms at a Holiday Inn at each point. Let me know who is with us by this by Friday, May 18th. either by posting here or by pm. A pm is recommended along with a cell and home number.

SEE POST #40 ON THIS THREAD FOR DETAILS !!
Thanks .........Paul

Hi Paul... I see you did your homework! I just had a nice talk with JeffDBFl about the trip from Fl. I'm too tired tonight to give all the details but I'll let you know tommorow what's up. Nothing is ever easy...

Springfield or Bust!

Anne, Terri wants to know where your picture is, so she knows what you look like when we meet.

Wink I Want to Go...

Paul & Sandee....Have ya'll thought about Adoption for a week ???
I guess you two have settled in and recovered from your 2 week vacation through Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina including Maggie Valley where your great avatar picture was taken. Kim has been unable to come up with a solution for her Monday, June 11th meeting in Georgia.
Hey, I don't have any meetings. I could be adopted... or kidnapped ...
Forget the kidnapped part. Kim wouldn't pay the ransom.

It`s them "pulley bones" and real fried apples like granny used to make that keeps me going back. That`s the stuff that travels well in the tummy, LOL

the proverbial rendezvous

Hi Paul
Howzit ?
Micki and I were planning on driving up to Memphis the first day, and spending the night there. Perhaps we could meet up and continue along together from there. We must stay in touch. Time is of the essence

Which day/date will you arrive in Memphis ?

I confess, I'm getting excited about going to Springfield...

Hey, Hey Randy,

Wasn`t sure you were in the country. We should be in Memphis on Sat. Night, unless someone has a better idea. We`ll plan it that way and see if something changes. After Friday I`ll check on room availability. Hopefully that will give everyone wanting to caravan with us time to see this thread and respond. After MV, I think all of us are getting excited about Springfield!!
My best to Micki.......Paul
