Thanks,

Pops,

We would love to have you join us. My original route was I24, but we are picking up some panhandle folks by going over to US231 and up through Dothan,AL. The plan calls for spending the first night(Fri 6/8) in Dothan, AL and the second night(Sat 6/9) in the Memphis area. I haven`t completed the exact itinerary as of yet, but will in the next day or so. Looks like it will be out of your way, but if hooking up with us Sat night will fit into your plan, come on. I`ll PM you with the final plan. The radio channel is 7........Paul

I think JeffDBFl will be going up I95 to JAX & then accross on I10. Most of us will be taking I75 north to I10 and then west to US231 before heading north again to Dothan, AL. I didn`t see your name on the Springfield list, are you going?? We would love to have you join us, going or not, but if it`s just a hello, it will be a quick one. Let me know how it is. Look forward to meeting you.......Paul

PS I see my Blur is only 57 units behind you in production.

Hi Popsssr,

I'm brand new to this group. Just joined a few days ago. I've been reading about the trip to Springfield, but won't be able to go. However, I live about 30 miles from Dothan, so if you are gonna be stopping there for the night, I would like to try to get down and meet some of you. I'll watch this for your final plans. I hope to see you Friday, June 8th. I'll be the one in the red SSR. By the way, whoever it was that pulled by me in Columbus, Ga. and told me about this web site about two weeks ago, Thanks. Let me hear from you if you don't mind. RCAR

I never mentioned Chicken Legs.... sounds like someone is sensitive.

Actually I prefer another part of the bird, but chose not to say it in this forum.

Welcome RCAR,
You are more than welcome to join us for some libations in Dothan. Sorry you can`t make Springfield, it`s the FIRST national SSR ralley. Looks like we will be there Fri nite (6/8), but I`ll have all the details worked out today or tomorrow.
The Fanatic you met in Columbus was probably Boosted. He lives just north of Columbus and drives a yellow SSR.
Looking forward to meeting you.......Paul

Thanks,
If anyone is coming through this area let me know. We are planning on leaving Sunday morning the 10th. Looks like about 550 miles from here to Springfield. Should be a "nice" drive.
Thanks everyone!

All Bummed Out

Sorry everyone, My doc told me today I can`t travel to Springfield.
Two weeks before MV my bod started swelling and it got worse. When I returned home, I started seeing doctors and having tests. Today I was told that my kidneys are having a problem and I shouldn`t travel. Lots more tests and doctor visits planned in the next month.
I have been in touch with JeffDBFl and he has agreed to spearhead the florida assault on Springfield. I have made all the arrangements, but there may be changes, so please consult Jeff. Sorry about any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.
This is a big blow and I`ve been excited about this trip from the getgo. I know you all will have memories forever of this trip and ralley. Please take and post lots of pictures. I`ll be there in spirit........Paul

Paul-

Hope you pass your tests. If there is anything we can do we're a phone call away. Maybe we should have a "couldn't go to springfield" cruise?
