It stopped raining before we went to Lamberts for dinner. Just in time to go the track. Humidity and Temp was 73 (high for both). I believe Broomer had the best time?? 13 something. None in the 12s that I can remember right now.
Everyone is at the pool enjoying drinks right now!!!

I think the best time an SSR was posted by Nancy (Mrs. CrossckFreak) with a 13.60 . . . her first time drag racing . . . she was terrific . . . I have a video of it, but can't post videos.
I know that FOCKS had two 13.80s, but rumor has it that he did better . . . Broomer also had some better times, but in the absence of anyone to admit to anything, I just have to go with what I know.
Great photos, thanks for sharing! Hey Vix, where's Fred???
Rebel, how do you like the So-Cal trucks '57 Chevy mirrors? They do sit more forward then the stockers. Maybe Mark will let you try 'em out so you can tell me how the visibility is

What really sucks is...Nancy's last run, she beat her 1000 foot time by almost .3 seconds, but didn't realize where the finish line was, and let up (it was dark, and she's blind). She ended up with a 13.68 on that run. Only 89 mph. The 13.60 was 103 mph.
Just for the record, she only drove the truck 3 times (for a grand total of maybe 25 miles)...and never since it's been supercharged (the first time was bringing it to the starting line). With everyones encouragement and advice, she took her first run of 20 seconds and turned it around really quick.
