OK Ladies and Gentlemen

I have been working diligently with Sue Figel Local 1618 in regards to the Super Special Return LCC/ASC/SSR Fanatic picnic.

Sue has been in charge of the LCC picnics in the past. The Local 1618 has a picnic for the employee’s every year. Sue is wonderful to work with. Her and I are brainstorming constantly.

So far we have bags of chips donated
Have access to a very large grill (provided by the Local 1618)
Hamburgers and Hotdogs for approx 800 people so far
Popcorn Machine
Snow Cone Machine @ a one time $50.00 charge
Clowns for $100.00 for two hours of service
Door Prizes
Raffles
Possible tables and chairs (if we are able to obtain the location we want)
We are requesting that everyone bring a passing dish (if possible)

I am still in the process of obtaining outside help. I have written a letter to the Chevrolet Club Connection and I am in the process of obtaining support from the Lansing Chamber of Commerce.
I am also looking for vendor help from this site. We need some ideas on gifts to give to the LCC/ASC employees.

The LCC and ASC have been so very gracious to us every time we visited. Receiving many gifts from them. I would like to give a gift back.

What we need now are donations from our SSR Fanatic members.

I was thinking of setting a $25.00 entry fee. You may donate more if you like, however I still feel that we can obtain outside help and support. All of the entry fee will go towards the picnic…….. any money left over can be carried over for the following years picnic.

I will be starting a Super Special Return WDC/ LCC/ASC/SSR –Attendies
August 18th, 19th and 20th 2006 Poll shortly. We need a head count on how many are coming in. PLEASE POST ONLY THE INFORMATION ASKED ON THIS POST keeping it a number only type post. All other information I will post under this post Super Special Return WDC/ LCC/ASC/SSR –Picnic Info.

For number attending please go to the poll thread Super Special Return WDC/ LCC/ASC/SSR –Attendies

OK lets hear some feedback!

Please tell me what hotel is near the picnic when you decide where the picnic will be!

I would like to spend the night in Lansing instead of Warren. Texas is closer from Lansing !

We are planning for accommodations that are close to the picnic in Lansing for Sunday night. This will facilitate a departure caravan from Lansing on Monday morning. More on this after Hotel in Lansing is secured.

Thanks Debbie. Your energy is amazing.

Mike,

Might I suggest you consider booking Thur - Sat at the Warren Marriott Courtyard (or any other hotel in that area) and then caravan with all of us to Lansing on Sunday morning? You can stay in Lansing on Sunday night and then depart from there back home on Monday morning.

The most compelling reasons are that all our other main activities will be in Warren - Detroit area for Thursday, Friday and Saturday's WDC. If you stay in Lansing you will have to then drive at least an hour and half back and forth to get to all our other super activities each day.

Sorry for the confusion, I corrected my post.

We are checking into the Marriott Warren on Thursday and out on Sunday. Sunday night stay is planned for the Lansing area. Hotel TBD.

Thanks for keeping me straight,

This is why I posted the Tenative Time Line. Most of the activities are in and around the Marriott in Warren Hotel. I suggest staying here first then a 1 night stay in Lansing
