Texas "MAXI" Tech Session Volunteers Needed!

The Texas "Mini" Tech Session has become the Texas "MAXI" Tech Session due to overwhelming response, so I have started a separate thread to let everybody know what's happening......

Muth Mirror, FatMat and Moleskin Installations
Last time I checked, we had 15 SSR's signed up for Muth Mirrors, 26 for FatMat and I'll assume at least 26 for Moleskin installations, as well as 3 auxiliary fan and 1 main fan installations (Mike in AZ will post separately for these items).

In order to make sure everybody gets the installations done that they have requested, I propose the following.....

We need to set up "Task Groups" for individual work items. I've done about 25 of these installations myself, and it takes me (by myself) about 2 1/2 hours for the mirrors, 1 hour for FatMat installation and about ten minutes for the moleskin installation with two people (Thumper is the bomb at this). We need help in these "Task Groups" as follows (at a minimum):

Muth Mirrors
1. Door panel and dash dis-assembly and re-assembly - Six members
2. Pulling wire, electrical connections and product testing - Six members
3. Mirror R & R - One member - me, that way if it's screwed up, it's my fault

FatMat Installation
1. Material cut out - Four members
2. Material installation - Ten members

Moleskin installation
1. Cleaning and installation - Two members

We'll do our best to accommodate everybody, and if we have the support we need, we'll "Git 'Er Done"!

Sign up list:

Muth Mirrors
1. Door panel and dash dis-assembly and re-assembly:BLU*T, hdflstf, Blue Thunder, RAD-SSR
2. Pulling wire, electrical connections and product testing: Yellow Bear, Bluestreak, ZsSSR, Lloger, OP
3. Mirror R & R - One member - me, that way if it's screwed up, it's my fault

FatMat Installation
1. Material cut out: Road Trip 4 2, ZainoSSR, BlueSSR, gmpartsguy
2. Material installation: Mickeys, Budhorse, 1pirate, WAYNESWORLD, OLDBSSRD, Blue 06, river_rat, Roadranger, Downshifter (Marv and Judy)

Moleskin installation
1. Cleaning and installation: JACK WALDROP, REBEL

That said, my beautiful bride Thumper will be flying out of San Antonio on Wednesday night, so if anybody arrives late or doesn't get done on Monday, I'll make myself available on Thursday morning.

Thanks in advance, FANATICS!

If there are any members that need other installations such as main fans, aux fans, chrome pieces, etc., please post your needs in this thread:

Mini Tech Session @ Texas Rally

If you are are willing to help out, please post in what area you can help out in this thread.

Thank you, thank you very much

I would think there are many who feel this way and would suggest that they sign up for something so they can be doing something while their truck is in line. In some cases this may become useful training when their truck gets worked on. Just a thought.

I have removed my door panels twice and with alittle coaching I can do the dash. I also have the prying tools and a 1/4 drive socket set to remove the mirrors. I also can pull wires and have a test lite for testing. I will be bring these with me for anyone who needs to use them.

Thank you so much Dwight!

We need a LOT of help, and we need to have willing members to commit to areas that they feel comfortable helping everybody out.

We can teach any and all members that don't know or are unsure of what to do, that's what this tech session is all about!

Count me in, Doug

I've got some of my own stuff to work on first, but will be pitching in to help with mirrors as soon as I'm through. Please don't sign me up formally, as I'm pretty sure that it'll take about 4 hours to get my stuff done. I'll fit in wherever you need me.....

I hope we get some more more volunteers...... If we don't get enough help, there will be a lot of disappointed memebers.

Mike

Wink Fat Mat

I would be interested in getting the Fat Mat installed in our truck. Where do I get the material? Will some body have some at the event for purchase? Who ever is getting some for them selves PM me and let me know. I will bring the tools to remove the door panels.

Thanks Wayne. If it's OK with you, I'd like to put you on the FatMat install team.
