Thanks for Another Great Gathering in Laughlin
Thanks to all that helped put this gathering together this year. It was a great week-end and the weather held out until Sunday morning.
We really enjoyed it.
My SSR: 2004 Ultra Violet #11012 born on 04 June 2004
This event has gotten bigger and IMHO better every year...there are so many people who spent countless hours trying to make things enjoyable to all and as usual many stepped up and did much more than was asked of them. It is great being a part of this National Event that started with a few Fanatic Forum friends that wanted to get a "few" trucks together in the tri-state area. Hugs and kisses to all of you for making the 3rd Annual Laughlin Run a true success.
At best guess we had 110 trucks...I say guess because we were scattered among a 6 floor parking structure and there was never a time when all of us were in one place together where a solid count could be taken. We had 104 sign in and confirmed their trucks were there but there were 6 or more dayrunners that came to the show/shine and did not stay for the entire weekend.
A special treat arrived at the show/shine...Bernie and Carol, our Lake Havasu Fanatic friends came up for the day. Both have been recuperating from an accident and we were all very glad to see them and find that Bernie still has some of those "spare tire kits" ready for delivery.
Come dinner time on Saturday another surprise guest poked his head in to say hello...SIDEKICK flew in for the day and joined in the activities, he looks great and is doing well.
Thank you all, once again. You are wonderful people. I had a great time and looking forward to the 4th Annual Laughlin Run - 2009!
To those of you who had to cancel at the last minute, we missed you and hope you'll be able to make it next year.
Long Distance Award winner was...COPACETIC KRIS...2333 miles from Atlanta, GA

It was great to see and meet SIDEKICK aand get a feel for how he really feels about this wonderful family. For anyone who does not know, he loves all of us as I am sure we love him in return.
COPEACETIC CHRIS made his long distance drive in two days, 8 hours and twelve hours, and still hadthe strength to play with the rest of us. I remember when I was that young, and would love to be there again.
I am sorry I did not get to meet Bernie, or if I did he was not properly introduced.
For the group that made this happen I havve only very kind words of thanks for a great event. Please make it happen again, and again, and again ... you get the picture.
I hope all make it home safely and did not have to risk life and limb to make it a rush.
See y'all next year.

If you do what you've always done,
You'll get what you've always gotten.
If it were not for the help that was volunteered for this event, it would not have taken place.
Because of the efforts that was put out by these folks, we had a hugely succesful event take place in Laughlin.
A great big Thank You goes out to the folks behind the scenes:
"Artsmart" - Randi
"Bondo Princess" - Gerry
"Lloger" - Lloyd
"LT'sSSR" - Linda
"Doug Allen" - Doug
"Thumper" - Deb
"RAD-SSR" - Nancy & Larry
"Blue Thunder" - Jeff
"The Banquet & Group Sales teams of the Aquarius"
and of course all the SSR Fanatics that decided to make this the event that it was.
Honorable mention goes out to the Caravan Leaders and organizers.
Hoping I have not forgotten any one individual.
Just goes to show what a group effort by our voluntary members can produce.
I just wanted to thank every one for all of the hard work you put into this past weekend. This was our first run and we had no idea what to expect. Wow!!!!! is all I can say. It was so nice to finally meet some of the people I have RED about and to put faces to names. We will be seeing you again. Wendy & Phil

You are right on Jeff...Mike did an awesome job running from truck to truck with his trusty tools...what an artist and a gentleman. Mike donated all the money he made from his hard work to Mike in Az's grandsons.
THANK YOU MIKE! You truly are a Special Fanatic and it was great meeting you!
