Thanks to Lloyd & Gerri

Marc NY - If this is the wrong spot, please move the thread.

Lloyd & Gerri - Surely no other group of fanatics for any marque has better representatives.

These fine folks gave so much of their time (and their resources) to make sure everyone had a good time, it defies comprehension. If you've ever helped to put on a car show or rod run that spanned a weekend, you'll know that it has to be a labor of love. If you didn't love to do it, you'd consider it punishment!!

I can't imagine a better time - from torrential rains to last minute improvised events, it was all a blast from start to finish!

"Thank you" is a pretty puny return compared to what these fine folks deserve - add your thanks to this thread if you agree.

Way 2 , these 2!!

a big thank you to gerry and lloyd. also wanted to tell the rest of the fanatics at springfield that i really enjoyed meeting (as waysouth would say, ) aLL ya'll. all of the ssr's were awsuum. inside, outside and under the hood. i got a lot of possibilities to do something to my plain ole slingshot now.

this was my first event but definately wont be the last. good luck to all and hope everyone made it home safely with no problems.

Thank You!

Thank you for doing such a great job!
Our only regret was that we had not attended any SSR event prior to this one.
Thanks again from POPS (Clarence) & Carol

This was our first SSR event as well and I must say that we were overwhelmed with the warmth and kindness that we were shown. This really is a "family" and it is hard to believe until you experience it first hand. We want to thank everyone for accepting us and making us feel a part of the group and especially the wonderful new friends that we met and look forward to seeing again.

On a side note; my garage queen (2 1/2 years old and 4000 miles) survived it's first night outside of a garage and even found out what rain feels like without experiencing any permanent psychological damage.

Once again, thanks to LLoyd and Gerry and everyone who helped to plan and organize this event and bringing it to a central part of these great United States so that even people who have been unable to attend other events farther away now know what we have been missing and will work harder to try and find ways to make other events a reality. We thank you both for all your SSR event traveling state-wide, continued help and planning over the years. You have both been there for everyone and never complain or speak badly of any situation...

Respectfully, Steve & Judy

We want to thank you so much for all the work you did in planning this great event. It was great and every activity was a lot of fun---regardless of the weather plan changes. You two always go the extra mile in your plans.

WE had an incredible time. Most pay good money for services far less efficient and Lloyd and Jerry are volunteers!. The bar is set so high now it would be difficult to come even close to their joint ability to organize and manage events, I hope they carry the tourch again next year HOWEVER if they are ready to move on to other things I for one will remain very grateful for all they have done for SSR Fanatics
Bill

I think it is safe to say a good time was had by all. Its too bad more people could not have made it, but maybe next time.

Alex has offered to run the whole show. I remember seeing his hand up...

Kudos to Lloyd and Gerry . . .

Got home about 4 hours ago . . . thank you so much, Gerry & Lloyd. You two are just SUPER . . . what a show ! ! . . . couldn't keep up with all the action. Always something going on.

Yes, we are very lucky to have lloger and Bondo Princess in our group, here at home. A lot of people don't know it, but EVEN when they ARE NOT the hosts of an event (Laughlin, Kingsburg, SSRs & Vettes in Phoenix, etc.) they still go out of their way to always run a big raffle and help in any way at these events. They are true SUPER FANATICS. They are tireless, patient & forgiving (when someone goofs ), and always POSITIVE come rain or shine. The time they invest in this organization is phenomenal.

Way back when we were all squabbling somewhat over where and when to have this International Super Rally and Lloyd & Gerry jumped into the ring, offering to go to Springfield, at their own expense, and check that location out, I KNEW THAT VERY MOMENT, THAT WE WERE IN FOR A SUPER SSR EVENT .

Thanks again, you two. I had a fantastic time.
(and the "Duck" is smiling too )

Thanks to Gerry and Lloyd:

Springfield Super Rally! That says it all. I first met Gerry & LLoyd in Springfield when they were there on one of their scouting trips and had dinner with them at a barbeque place at the corner of Glenstone & Kearney ( across the street and south of the Osais. After visiting with them for a while I had the feeling we would a great time at the Rally. My expectations were greatly exceeded! Everything was just Super! Even the rain and weather did not stop anything for long. My wife (Dee) and I had a great time. All of the events were great, the road tours (roller coaster and triple C) were both good. The dinner at Lamberts and drag strip were great (wanted to run but Dee was afraid I would break something). Fantastic Caverns was verry good. Getting to meet many of the Fanatics that I have have some dealings was a highlight. Watc
