This thread is for the “Custodians of the Can” to log its travels around the world, generating money for SSR events. Please come here to learn of the can’s experiences, but we ask you PLEASE only custodians post here.
There will be maps and pictures and storeys of the can. Just a silly log of the cans life as a SSR hitchhiker which will travel farther, and see more events than any of us.
I can see where people will take it to church for pictures and others may pose it with ladies. It will be in the desert, mountains and some day over seas and back.
I bet it shows up at the Lansing picnic some how.
To make it clear .... The one who sells the can gets to pick the SSR event that gets the donation, to help with that event. Please keep the money involved in SSR group events. Thank you all, have fun with it.

The duck Soup was carefully posted back to the factory in a FDA approved container. No "Hasmat" services were required.
The collectible can of Uncle Focks Duck Soup was right at home at Uncle Focks' Duck Farm. Here is a picture of the "Young Duckling Play area. As you can see, they are encouraged to get out an run around with the older ducks.
At "Uncle Focks" we only use the finest young ducklings, for the most succulent Duck Soup available in todays market. I might also add that those young ducklings are always available.
We try are darndest to always keep the freshest Duck in all of the northern Texas Counties. We breed only the healthiest ducks, so when you pick up a can of Uncle Focks Duck Soup you know you are getting the finest, most succulent Duck that money can buy. Tell your friends, Tell your neighbors about
The can of Uncle Focks Duck Soup was handed off to me, lloger, on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at the Saturday night dinner at the Swiss Chalet Inn in Ruidoso, New Mexico. It was presented to me by Michael Fox (Focks). The can was placed in the rear cargo compartment of our SSR, encased in bubble wrap.
On Monday morning, June 26th, at 7:10 am, it began its trip to California. This well guarded treasure traveled on HiWay 380 through Carrizozo and Socorro, New Mexico. Uncle Focks Duck Soup traveled through Mescalero and Apache Indian territory. At Socorro we caught HiWay 60 and wended our way through western New Mexico and into Arizona.
The soup can then made it's way through Show Low, AZ, the Salt River Canyon, with its beautiful rock formations, Tonto National Forest and into the Phoenix area. After a night in Goodyear, AZ, Uncle Focks Soup was almost warm enough to eat as we journeyed through the Arizona and California deserts. It crossed the California border on Tues. June 27th at approximately 9:00 am, and arrived at lloger's residence in Walnut, CA at 12:00 noon, for a four night stay.
On July 1, 2006 a Duck Soup Ceremony was held at Sierra Chevrolet, and Uncle Focks Duck Soup was handed over to Ross, who was the first winning bidder.
Gerry and I were proud to be a part of this historic event and were honored to be entrusted with the safe transport of Uncle Focks Duck Soup across nearly a thousand miles of mountains and deserts.
Lloyd (lloger) and Gerry Simmons.

The pictures will be on a cd that goes with the Duck Soup. Trying to work out the details of how/who will transport it to Lansing. Would like to auction it off with it closing at the picnic. Ross

Fock's Duck Soup Auction at the Laughlin Event
I gave Ross the $250 for the WINNING BID on Fock's Duck Soup at the WDC. I told him Debbie (hotrodgirl) had said they didn't need any of the money for the WDC next year, so he could do with it whatever he wished.
I'm not sure, you'll have to check with Lloyd (lloger), but I'm reasonably sure, since Debbie didn't need it, that Ross wanted it to go to the 2nd Annual SSR Laughlin Event this coming January. In any event, this will be his decision.
Since I now own this "fowl" concoction (no pun intended) , I will put up Focks's Duck Soup for bid some time in January with the bidding closing at the 2nd Annual SSR Laughlin Run Banquet and in the interest of International unity, I choose to have the proceeds of the sale of Fock's Fine Duck Soup go to the 1st International Super SSR Rally being planned as we "click" in Springfield, Missouri to be tentatively held June 11-14, 2007, shortly after the Hot Rod Power Tour.

See you guys in Oct ...are you going to Laughlin?
I'm going to get all my pics posted FIRST . . . wanted to have Marc transfer all the pics I posted on the auction thread onto this thread, but he hasn't for whatever reason, so I'm going to post as many as I can before Liz posts her pics of the Ducks adventures with her and John. This is harder than it may seem as many are scattered all over my hard drive, others (e.g. Laughlin) were taken with a new camera set on too high a pixel setting so I've got mucho problemas, but I'll get it.
I should also add, and I don't mean to demean or offend anyone, that posting on this thread if you're not a Custodian of the Can sort of defeats the purpose of this thread. Please read Rebel's first post.

On to the Granddaddy of SSR Events . . . Laughlin
Numerous Fanatics and a Casino Bar waitress, help with the authentication of the Duck. I just noticed, quite a compilation of SSR event hosts here: lloger & Bondo Princess (Sprinfield Super Rally hosts), C1Trob (Laughlin host), HotRodGirl (Woodward Dream Cruise hostess), and Gina (Maggie Valley Tail of the Dragon hostess). Quite impressive.
