WDC Report From HotRodGirl
Well it's 3:00 A.M. here and I returned home an hour ago from the Lansing area. Where I finally had some time to sit with our SSR Fantatics for a late dinner.
Enjoyed the company of wildcat66, WearEagel, lloger, Devastator, gonenymidnight, JACKWALDROP.
I am extremely exhausted and already missing my SSR Fanatic friends, both new and old ones. I have many thoughts that are going thru my head and will fill you in as soon as I get some rest.
I so very much enjoyed this weekend and wish that it didn't have to end. So many of you are very gracious and generous! I received a wonderful surprise presented to me at the WDC Lot. The SSR Fanatics chipped in a bought me a "New Light up WindsuppreSSR". I didn't expect this and had a very hard time recieving it as my work on this weekend was devoted for the love of my SSR and for the friendships and smiles I seen on many of your faces. I THANK ALL OF YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!
I have many thoughts about the picnic and will get around to it soon. I am on vacation this week and will be taking some time to clean out the camper and get it ready to take my grandson to the Yogi Bear Park this coming weekend.
I will check in from time to time.....keep the pictures coming as I will not be able to post any soon.
May all of you return home safely......and Thank You for your warm and sincere friendships. You have yet again impacted my life in so many ways!!!

Deb,
Glad you had a good time (but it's 3:00 in the morning!) and I'm even more pleased that you received your "new & improved" light up WindSuppreSSR from your SSF's (SSR Fanatic Friends). - You deserved it!

E-Mail from Darla-ASC that brought Tears to My Eyes!
To touch the hearts of so many is what brings me GREAT JOY!!!!! Here is an e-mail from ASC employee.......Darla............
Debbie,
I want to say a big thank you for all the fun you gave to me and my family today. I had my 2 grandchildren with me and their Dad was Deployed overseas for this war..... Today was the first time I have seen smiles on their faces and true joy in their hearts since my Son left. I owe a great debt of gratitude to you and your organization for that. Thank you so very much for giving to my grandchildren that joy again of being a child. They are only 7 and 8 years old but have very tender hearts. Thank you doesn't seem to be enough but all I can say is a BIG THANK YOU!!!!!
Well, I must say-The house is empty, Im missing 28 SSR's in the drive way, back yard, side yard, and the front yard. SSR's are not something you see everyday in these parts of town. And to see the custom paint jobs, and other extras on these trucks were amazing. It was really nice to be able to put faces with most of everyone screen names. You all are have touched myself and my family in many ways. This was a big project for HRG but I must say she pulled it off with nothing but class, so a HUGE thank you goes out to her. (I love you Mom).
The Woodward Dream Cruise has always been better then Christmas for me, for the last 11 years, something I havent missed I enjoy checking cars out as well as working on them. But, this year, the WDC was an extra, spending time with everyone on the lot for the day was better for me then the WDC. I had some really great conversations with just about everyone. And I would just like to say thank you. I hope you all have made it home safe. And hopefully, I will see some of your faces in Ohio in the next few weeks.
Other Random Highlights.
-FuryKays drink machines, that were EMPTY this year. *Nice work SSR members*
-Friday night
Having dinner at Lonstar with all what 50 of us?? Sitting with Dan ands his wife from Canada. Again, great conversation.
Enjoying some great company at Limelight. Corona's seem to be the drink.
-How the rain couldnt keep everyone away from having a good time.
-Sunday's weather was amazing, And I couldnt have asked for a better day.
-Dinner at TGI FRIDAYS, great laughs, and a great time. Thank you.
-Driving home from lansing with 3 bodies in the SSR was....different. LoL.

Limelight Bar
On Friday night I finally freed up sometime to visit with the Fanatic members at the Limelight Bar. I arrived around 9:30 P.M. after everyone was coming back from dinner. We had a great time and ended up closing down the place.
Here you will see us dancing along with some karaoke singers. My daughter and I had a great time visiting with everyone and having a little fun

Fan Emergency at HRG's House
Even though Mike from AZ was not with us to celebrate this Super Special Return............... in another way he was.
Mike and I talked several weeks before the WDC event and Mike had asked if it was OK to send some fans in case they were needed for the WDC weekend. Well Mike you managed to help out even though you weren't here. A fanatic in need JACKWALDROP had fan issues while here and so did Marty. However we only had one fan available as Mike was trying to fly in the next day with more.
So here we were the Saturday of the Woodward Dream Cruise replacing Jacks fan with the new Mike in AZ fan in my driveway!
Thanks Mike for thinking ahead......you were a life saver. Oh and by the way I now know how to install it

Nice Photos
The fan that was removed was actually the "improved" version with the filtering for the motor...... note the piece of foam that is attached to the motor.
I also noticed the photos of Jack's backside........do you have a problem that we need to talk about, Debbie?????
Glad I could help. Sorry you only had one spare on hand.
Mike

And a Good Time was had by all . . . . .
What a great time I had, Debbie . . . . . it just doesn't get any better.
With the late nite run back to Detroit, the morning commute run to the car rental and the early flight . . . didn't get any sleep. Crashed this afternoon and just woke up.
What a ride ! Thanks so much to you and your family for making this all happen. Even though we were SSRless, Lloyd and I had a ball. Thanks to all that treated us like royalty.

Well, I've been lurking all week watching you guys having a great time . The pics are super and I can only imagine how much fun it was. I started getting sick Wednesday and finally got into see my Doc today. I have acute Bronchitis and had to get some antibiotics, steroids and an inhaler. I'm gonna be pumped for something anyway. Feel like crap, so I'm glad I didn't try to make the trip. So PLEASE keep those pictures coming. I'm living vicariously through all of you, and it's quite a trip!!!

Major Treatment
On the way down to the WDC.....It poured and I got stuck behind a truck loading dirt. Before heading to my girlfriends party. Patrick (circlek454 & son Dean) asked if I had a few minutes. Of course for a fanatic I always have a few minutes. I was shocked when I saw them washing my SSR Here I thought we were going to spend a few minutes chatting......instead they treated me like a queen!!!!
Thank You Patrick and Dean.................you guys are a gals best friend!!!!!
I sat next to Roger Chase at the picnic. Brought him up to date on BobA situation. Nice guy, I encouraged him to jump on board our SSRfantic site. Sounds like it paid off. Welcome aboard Roger when ever you get here. Scheide.
