As we approach the Woodward Dream Cruise/Reunite 2011 in Michigan
As we approach the WDC/Reunite 2011 in Michigan...........
You all know my husband is ill with Lung Cancer as of yesterday he has been signed on to hospice.
While I hope god lets me carry this event through to the end I may also not have that chance. I am asking that each of you attending see this event to the end even if I am not there. What will be done ..........
The banquet and heritage tour will be paid in full before the event occurs.
My sister will be setting up the tables at the banquet hall in case I cannot be there. I will designate someone to carry through with the details of the night.
As much as can be done is being done at this current time ....right now I am putting some in charge of area's that will be needed. If you would like to help me out ...let me know and I can let you know what will be needed for completion in case I cannot be there. At this point there are only small tasks that need completion.
When you enter Lansing Sue Figel and Hanna Fox of the LCC including Julie Pingston will assist you there.
Follow the itinerary and cruise Woodward as much as you can
This event is very SPECIAL to me .........please help me complete it
Love to All and praying I too can be there

Hi Deb. I know it is late in the day but is there anything you need help with that I can do from here?
We really appreciate all the time and effort you put into this and wish it could be under circumstances where you could fully enjoy and participate in the event that is so dear to you. You should be very proud of yourself for your accomplishments.

Auhhh thank you I should be able to buy all the food for the WDC lot before hand and will need someone to get it to the WDC lot from my home. In case I cannot then I will list out what is needed. Any money you put in will be reimbursed.
Again there is not much more that needs to be done except running around.
Oh Darlin.. HOW I wish I could be there to help you out!!! But trust me on this .. BlueSSR (Glenda) & Smokie (Jim) are wonderful & would trust them to help you out in a HEARTBEAT!!! They are REALLY good folk!!!

ssrtruck and 6.0TOGO Have stepped up to help out .....
Chuck (6.0)....... The REO's Museum called me yesterday (there won't be a tour guide on hand) to get us in the door quicker they are asking that we collect the money before hand. I have the list of who's going so far and it is also the current one under the official thread ......I am going to ask you once I know the list is complete that you collect the $3.00 from the members that are going and pay for those members at the door.
Jim & Mindy (ssrtruck).......
You two were a great asset to me last year and once again I will use you both at the banquet hall and Woodward lot. I will let you both know as we get closer where I'll need you.

Sorry Deb, You know how I wish I could but just can't make it happen. It would be great to meet you.
What I was thinking about in ways to help was trying to contact the Bobby Adams Jr Award holder but I wasn't sure if it had already been figured out. I see Rob posted this morning and Jumpout 72 has it but not contacted as yet.
I read all Jumpouts posts looking for a way. Somebody has to know this guy.
His name is Jim from Calvers County MD and spent 23 years as a police officer in Washington DC.
I phoned both Keiths Pit Stop and Jeremy Formato because he had a tune done 4/2010 in PA but no luck getting his phone number. Not sure if Formato gave me the brush off or what but he said he would have no way of finding the information. I'm not so sure that is really the case and maybe if someone has a good relationship with Jeremy Formato another attempt could be made.
MikeinOrlando had contact with him as he attended the 3rd Annual Florida Rally 3/2011. He was the lead car in the parade.
Copy of Post 166: Brian:
I am still a question mark, iced in at Kansas City. Still want to attend, btw, I am also the current keeper of the long distance award. Temp supposed to go up in 60's on Sunday, will start then and keep you posted.
Jumpout572 (Jim)
SSR290 – Would have had contact for the Finger Lakes Run in 2009.
Being a police officer he is probably fairly cautious with his identity.

I love your detection work .......carry on and find this award It originated here and I would like to have for the final event from me

Glen jump in if you have more to add
We already have a fairly good sized group for dinner at Mexican Village for Saturday but there's always room for one (or 6) more!
If anyone wants to go with us and has not PM'd me yet pleased do so as soon as you can.
We'll try to leave the WDC lot at 6:45PM (I'll make reservations for 7:15) and hopefully the traffic for the Tiger baseball game will have thinned down by the time we get near the ball park.
For the run from the hotel to the REO Museum in Lansing on Sunday morning we should plan on leaving the hotel by 8:15 to 8:30AM.
This will allow us time for a "comfort stop" or some unforseen traffic problem.
I'll keep an eye on the construction issues.

Sounds great
I'd ask you to put me on the list as going to the dinner but I just don't know if I can make it. I love Greektown

The members are going to love this
Deb;
That is exactly my predicament for the Friday night banquet
I thought about Greektown, the casinos AND the ballgame for Saturday but the logistics involved, not to mention the safety factor (bodily and automobile) would be a royal PIA.
After Thursday and Friday, and then a long day on Saturday at WDC with all of the excitement I'd be willing to bet that our bunch of "old timers" are not going to be up for too much on Saturday night!
With all of these lists I'm not sure where to post this but you can put me down for my "Bourbon Meat Balls" for Saturday.
Ain't been figuring on Sunday yet!

It keeps my mind busy
A few more helping hands...... even if I'm there or not
Ray (Windsupressor) will be overseeing the banquet's itinerary for the night.
nat's SSR -Nat's friend Karen (from the Lansing area) will be helping out with those of you whom need it out in Lansing. Karen grew up in Lansing and knows the area well. She can assit any of you on where to eat and how to get around some of the construction if needed
Karen will also be checking in the paid banquet attendees and she will be greeting you at the door.
Some last minutes gifts have been donated ...enough to have a raffle Karen and Stan will be overseeing this for me also. These will be raffled off at the banquet.
The DJ ( a friend of mine) that was playing for me free for the night cannot keep the date ....that's ok we will fill it in with other things Don't sweat the little stuff I appreciate his willingness to do it free for me.
