Thanks for being a great ambassador for SSRFanatics everywhere. Your interaction with the employees and management at the Lansing Craft Center is a huge asset.

Hope the Heritage tour can happen - icing on the cake.

Thanks for the info. Read the link. Sounds very interesting. I do wonder why they dont let the public tour it more often. Sounds like they could make some $$$$ on it.

If we would have gotten in this year. I was told that there would have been a charge per person. However, the previuos year we were not charged.

Wdc 2007 ?

I know we have a full schedule of events for 2007. I am wondering how many will be trying to make it for this years WDC weekend.

The Dates Are:

August 16th Thursday
August 17th Friday
August 18th Saturday /WDC Day
August 19th Sunday

I will be e-mailing Mandy @ Chevy Club Connection this month....so we can secure a date for the GM Heritage Tour....hopefully on Friday the 17th.

From the feedback I received......it does not seem as though we will be doing a picnic in Lansing this year. We have money carried over from 2006.......I will need to find a way of spending it.

1.) We could do a picnic with us (SSR Fanatics) at a local park in the WDC area.....I would need to get it reserved ASAP.

2) Travel to Frankenmuth for dinner (approx. 1hr away from the Warren area) Would need to reserve the room if so ASAP.

3) Try for another picnic in Lansing

Looking for some feedback as the WDC is an extremely popular weekend with many areas booked for these dates. I will need to work on reserving whatever we decide ASAP!

I will start a poll after a few ideas have been brought to this thread....we can then vote.....and go with the majority.

Our "Mysterious Visitor " had so many great stories to tell us about WDC that we are REALLY going to try to make it this year - it sounds like a blast! (And we still owe Flassh dinner! )

Lets have a nice sitdown banquet style dinner for us on Sat. night after crusin' woodward.
We should try for Friday night for the GM heritage museum tour.

Use the money for the dinner/banquet , and if there's any left over, maybe a discount on the rooms at the hotel ? just my Texas .02

Greetings all,

I'm a new member, having signed up yesterday. My buddy "Wojo" and myself just bought our SSR's last year in time for the WDC. We were unable to find you last year but we were able to attend the picnic and subsequent cruise to the LCC. We will both be there for sure this year and a trip to the Heritage museum would be great.

Danny or I one will try to be there. We both would love to come and will aim for that. You know we have a seasonal business so its iffy. But he says if the heritage tour is on and only one of us can be there that it will be him this time.

Isn't it Danny's turn? And don't worry i am sure someone will take him under their wing and make sure he doesn't get into too, too, too much trouble.

Deb, Why don't you use the money for a nice set down dinner. Also you could use a little(but in your case it would probably take a lot) of the money for FRISBEE THROWING LESSONS. Machel and myself got tried of chasing your tosses into the poison ivy last year, plus we got tried of having to run up to catch it because it was so short of a toss.
