Arrow Woodward Dream Cruise Lot-Sponsorship-Raising Money

The cost of the Woodward Dream Cruise Lot has increased over the last few years, as many of you know Ray Hobbel (WindsuppreSSR) has sponsored the lot covering the cost in full with this past year the MI SSR Club chipping in to cover a good portion of it.

Over the past few years I have been taking donations from those whom come to keep the account with a decent carry over to cover some of the costs. This year the fanatic members new and old donated $545.00

This lot is crucial for the Woodward Dream Cruise to be successful and in order to maintain it we must make some changes. The chances of getting another lot this size on Woodward Ave is slim to none!!

doogie4804 (3G's Service's) has donated a set of rear quarter appliques for the SSR to help raise money for next year. I haven't quite figured out how I am going to go about this yet but I am leaning towards a bidding war on this site with them going to the top bidder Keeping in mind that all proceeds go to the WDC lot of 2010.

A very special Thank You to Doug at 3G's for this generous donation towards next years dream cruise lot.
Watch for more to come on how you can obtain this great addition to your R!!

Another thing that will be changing for next year....I will be designing a WDC2010 tag for your mirror and or for you to lay on your dash at a set fee. You must have this in order to have access on the lot for the "Official Woodward Dream Cruise Day/Lot". We have many that come and go and some that do not donate towards this great event and I am hoping to eliminate this.

The hot dog lunch, chips and soda will be offered at no cost next year on the lot with again asking that all bring a passing dish...this was very successful this year.

I am going to start making a patch for the WDC's again..several have asked about them....I just have to figure out how to design one

Thanks for reading.......
If anyone would like to donate and or help with sponsorship it would be greatly appreciated....contact me by PM

Debbie, It might be a good idea to keep a running thermometer like they do at fund raisers to show how far you are from reaching your goal!It is a long way off til next year and I might be able to come up with a few other parts to acution!
Good luck and You're most welcome!

I'll keep that in mind Doug I know it's a long way off.....but it seems to come so fast

Again Doug...greatly appreciated as we never know if we will end up in a bidding war over the lot. I'm sure you know that does happen here. Prime spots on Woodward can go high. It's a good idea to be prepared should we need it.

Next Year

Deb, I would like to see you take a poll and see who all wants to go back to the original Marriott Inn where we use to stay. This Residence Inn is nice, but more family orientated, very noisy if you know what I mean.
The free breakfast leaved a lot to be desired too. Remember I'm only one vote!

I am in the process of seeking out those whom offered cash donations towards the Woodward Dream Cruise for this year 2010 and next year 2011 (5 year end of production reunion).

In addition to cash I am also seeking prizes............if you can donate to this great cause please PM me and I will send you my address

Thank You
