Falls and more falls... just two different kinds!
Here's your opportunity to tour some of the very scenic North East Corner of PA. We'd start off in the morning by meeting for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Wilkes-Barre, PA (right off Hwy 81) and then taking a 1 hour drive from Wilkes-Barre, PA to Ricketts Glen State Park.
Ricketts Glen State Park
There we would spend an hour hiking up the trails to the multiple falls. A great chance to enjoy one of PA's little jewels. After the Falls, we'll head out for about another hour drive through some of the remote roads of PA to Knobles Park. Strong possibility for a mini-stop along the way to Knobles. I need to confirm, but I think we pass a Winery on the way that would be worth a stop.
At Knobles, you'll step back in time to the only privately owned amusement park in the US. It's FREE admission. Rides cost from $1-2 depending on the ride. The park offers antique rides from the 20's, classics rides like Tilt-a-whirl as well as they have several roller coasters, and water rides. In addition, they have a very fun haunted house. The food is good and prices are reasonable.

If you're interested in joining some of the fun just chime in. If you have any questions, please ask.
Also, I designed this trip to be an easy day trip for most of us here in the NE. But, if you want to come to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area on Saturday, there are plenty of reasonable places to stay and we're having a BBQ on Saturday at our house in West Pittston in which all fanatics are more than welcome to attend.
