Smile Carlisle Events and Speed Channel

On Sunday they had one of the Carlisle events, I believe they called it the "All GM Nationals" on the Speed channel for one hour. Then they did another hour on other events at Carlisle. They all looked real interesting to go to. They did show the front of a Pacific Blue SSR at one point in the first show. Look to see if they show it again.

I also saw the other thread about this weekend's All-Truck Nationals at Carlisle, so I thought I'd post the information on that event and the events for the rest of the year so people might want to plan ahead.

Here they are as stated on the Carlisle website:

At the Aug. 3-5 Carlisle All-Truck Nationals, the truck enthusiast will find everything he or she needs from a huge manufacturers’ midway and swap meet to almost 2000 trucks, covering everything from lowered Mini’s to lifted 4 x 4s to working Big Rigs and classics. Other exciting features include the monster truck shows and rides and the rock crawl. Carlisle will continue with the popular truck pulls, frame dragging session and bring you some of the best trucks around in our invitational display. Burnouts, Bikini contest, Hydro, and High/Low competitions will take place throughout the weekend. Don’t miss the largest pure truck show in America.

On Aug. 24-26, don’t miss the world’s largest gathering of Corvettes. Corvettes at Carlisle will feature a 50th Anniversary Party for the ’57 Corvette. See 54 years of Corvettes and listen to Corvette execs tell you about what the future holds for the Corvette enthusiast. Annual events including the Chip Miller Memorial Corvette Parade through the streets of downtown Carlisle, a return of the popular burnouts, a huge showfield with thousands of Corvettes and tens of thousands of Corvette enthusiasts make this show a “one-of-kind” extravaganza.

The 34th annual Fall Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Corral, October 3-7, completes the 2007 Carlisle show season. A sea of people are expected to attend and shop the 8,100 spaces filled with everything a car collector could ever want, plus 1,800 Car Corral spaces. Returning at both Spring and Fall this year, are the inaugural Collector Car Auctions held in the Carlisle Expo Center, one block from the Carlisle Fairgrounds. The Fall Collector Car Auction will take place October 5-6. The auction offers a wide assortment of vehicles covering all eras, genres, models and types including stocks, customized, hard-to-find and one-off cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Join Carlisle Events again in 2007 and be one of the millions of people who can say, “I found it at Carlisle.” Please continue to check our web site www.carlisleevents.com for updates to all of our events.

Carlisle Events, host of 10 collector car, truck and motorcycle events each year, attracts more than half a million people to its 82-acre fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania each year. Included in the annual schedule are two huge automotive swap meets – in the spring and fall – and individual specialty shows featuring Corvettes, Fords, GMs, Chryslers, trucks, motorcycles, sport compacts and imports. Founded in 1974 by friends Bill Miller and Chip Miller, the “Cars at Carlisle” shows attract automotive enthusiasts from around the world.

I would like to go for this weekend's event but I have something else I have to do.
The Corvette event in August looks interesting.
