We did this run last year at about the same time.
There are so many other events during the summer that the fall was a good time to have something.
Also the track at the Glen is quite busy and it is hard to get an open weekend.
Welcome back Brian.
More race videos for this years DVD.
Start point is at the Wendys just south of Exit 51 off of I-86 (SR 17) in Horseheads, NY.
...This is for those who might need a little caffene or food to get the fire lit.
..........Or to unload an earlier blast of caffene.
Start time is 10:00 am.
Attached is a Map of the Start point and some local hotel locations.
Also attached is a list of local Hotels and a general schedule for the Run.

Midnightrider,
You said you stayed at the Counrty Inn & Suites last year, how was it? Specifically, how was the parking area? I'd hate to be up all night worrying about the truck. I'd like to do the Glen, but I need to pass right by the Berkshires Run and go an additional 4 hours. Prolly 2 nights at the Country Inn, what kinda rate did you get?

Jeff,
I liked the Country Inn & Suites. The parking wasn't a problem, with half of the rooms looking over the parking area. The rates are higher this year. I got a double queen, smoking room for $144 a night. Last year it was only $99.

Hi. Please count Jewlz965 and NauticalDave in (one , one driver, one co-pilot). (Fingers crossed that his business travel schedule doesn't cause us to cancel.)
And, as Angelo asked, is the hotel blocking rooms off for Friday and Saturday, or just Saturday?
The rates at the Country Inn & Suites are for Friday and Saturday... September 12 & 13.
The block of rooms will be held until 8/12/2008. They will add more rooms if needed.
Welcome aboard everyone. Looks like we are gettting a nice group together.
