Turn 1 was a killer today, wasn't it . . .

So sad to see the Toyota team-mates finish 1st and 2nd. Only one Hendrick driver finished in the Top 10. (And he wasn't the driver I rout for.)

Anyway, we're looking forward to this run - it is a much needed mini-vacation for both of us.

Thumbs up Welcome chevssr

Glad you can make the Run.

Quite a race this year at the Glen. Never see too many 9 car crashes on a road course.

NauticalDave...sorry no motorcycles on the track. Would probably be fun though.

Track rules:
** Don't pass the pace car.
** Don't hit anything or anybody.

Please!!!

Cool Great weekend for a run

Sunday weather was perfect so jumped in the SSR, popped the top and headed out.

We basically did a dry run for the Finger Lakes Run....Hope the weather is the same for the run

Only four weeks to go. Still room on the starting grid.

Check out the Pics of things you might see on the run....

By HOG, I assume that you mean Harley.
Unfortunately motorcycles are not allowed on the track at Watkins Glen.

The 10-day forecast is calling for a 30% chance for showers. Nautical, you can't take the bike - we don't want rain. (If on bikes, we plan on rain when the forecast calls for 30%.)

Looking forward to seeing/meeting everybody next Saturday.

Cool One week to go

It's just around the corner...this Saturday is the day.

Weather for Saturday: Temps in the 70's, 30% chance of rain as of today's forecast.
That is subject to change many times by Saturday.

Wiil be meeting at the Wendy's just south Route 17..Exit 51 between 9:00 - 10:00 am.
Plan to head out at 10:00am.
Have attached the Hotel & Start Map for reference.

* For those comming thru PA, I suggest that you fill up with Gas before you enter
NY as prices can be 10 to 25 cents more North of the border.
* Bring along you camera as you may find a few things to capture on film.
* Bring along a two way radio if you have one. Helps with keeping everyone together.
Probably run channel 10-0.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Sorry to hear that.
I am sure there will be video and pictures for all to see after the run.
Maybe we will meet on some future SSR event.

Thumbs up Ready to Race

Still time to sign on for a Run on the Track.

Looks like the weather will cooperate.

Possible light rain on Friday PM but to move out by Saturday.
Saturday weather calls for temps in the mid 70's, partly cloudy, with a 20% chance of rain.

Looking good.

Thumbs up Ready to Run

We are ready to go on this end.
Will be at the start point, Wendy's, at about 9:00 am.

Weather looks about the same.
Rain ending later today, cloudy most of tomorrow with possible rain late.

Lets hope for the best.

I arrived around 5:30 this evening. Rain and road spray the whole way

Met up with pahotssr (Angelo & Bonnie and their friends).

Washed the truck, and set up my camera mounts. I will have 5 cameras running this year!!! 6 if I can find a way to mount my cell phone.

We will see everyone at 9am
