Finger Lakes Run

Finally got a chance to work on a SSR run for this summer. Date will be Saturday September 15, start time 10:00 am.

I call it the W run. Highlights include the following:

** Wings of Eagles Discovery center. (Formerly the national Warplane Museum)
** Waterfall..Chequa-gua falls
** Waterfront.. Seneca Lake harbor.
...................... Marina, Pier and Picture takers dream
...................... Seneca Harbor Wine center..where you can sample and buy some local wines and champagnes.
.......................Watkins Glen Shop for WGI collectables, merchandise and clothes
** Winery...Glenora Wine Cellars, sample wine with a great view of the Lake.
** WGI- Watkins Glen International Road Course
.......................For a fee of $25 a vehicle we can take 3 paced laps around the track with time for pictures after.

Trying to see how many are interested so I can get the details worked out.
Post here if you would like to ride along.

I spoke with my Mother and Father who run the receptions at Pleasant Valley Winery. She said that if you want to stop by on your tour of the winery's then she would take good care of you. Just tell me if you need me to contact here to finish any plans for you.

Welcome aboard. Still working out some details for the winery stops.
Will keep you posted.

If you live near MarcNY, maybe you can get him to come along and
put some miles on that SSR before it rusts away in his garage.

Cool 2005SSR6Speed

I believe we spoke to your Mother at the Wine center last weekend
when we were doing some scouting for the Run. Said there could be
some specials for the Fanatics that visit the Wine Center.

In addition to the samples.

As of now, I'm in. My cousin's husband Roy will be my copilot (I think I need to get a wife that doesn't work on Saturdays (then again...I'm probably better off)).

There's a strong possibility we'll be spending the night up there, but that will be determined later.

Anyone else planning on spending the night. We will be. Maybe we should find a decent place to stay so we can book a room ahead of time and plan on staying at the same place.

Jim, if you know where dinner will be...the town would be a big help in determining where to stay. Thanks!
