Are we renting a bus back to the hotel from there?
What the hell am I talking about....I don't like wine anyway.
Make sure that they dont get you hooped on the samples. My Mother and Father (Lynn and Red) will take great care of everyone at the winery. Wish I could be there with all of you.

Finally got a chance to work on a SSR run for this summer. Date will be Saturday September 15, start time 10:00 am.
I call it the W run. Highlights include the following:
** Wings of Eagles Discovery center. (Formerly the national Warplane Museum)
** Waterfall..Chequa-gua falls
** Waterfront.. Seneca Lake harbor.
...................... Marina, Pier and Picture takers dream
...................... Seneca Harbor Wine center..where you can sample and buy some local wines and champagnes.
.......................Watkins Glen Shop for WGI collectables, merchandise and clothes
** Winery...Glenora Wine Cellars, sample wine with a great view of the Lake.
** WGI- Watkins Glen International Road Course
.......................For a fee of $25 a vehicle we can take 3 paced laps around the track with time for pictures after.
Trying to see how many are interested so I can get the details worked out.
Post here if you would like to ride along.
I just returned from another car event held in the Finger Lakes District. If you get the chance, drive the "old" Watkins Glen Grand Prix Circuit and stop at the Stone Bridge for pictures. It will give you an idea of the conditions presented to drivers from 1948 to 1953. The 6.6 mile circuit ran through the village streets and part of the state park.
Several items for those Heading to the Finger Lakes Run:
* Bring a FRS/GMRS Radio if you have one. Good for info and problems.
* Bring your Camera and lots of batteries.
* Don't forget to bring along a cooler or box so that you can carry your
Wine purchases home. Keeps them from rolling around.
* For those traveling from the South, I suggest that you fill up your tank in PA,
as gas prices in New York can be 10 to 30 cents more than PA.
* Bring some warmer clothes as the weather for Saturday is currently calling
for some morning clouds with Temps in the 60's. ( depending on the channel you watch)
* Start time is 10:00 am at the "Wings of Eagles". I plan to be there early to meet and
greet everyone, especially several of the newer members. Good place to get some pics.
I have attached a Map showing the location of the Hotel for those arriving on friday night.
Also attached is a Map of our starting Point.
It's only a few day left for the Finger Lakes run in Horseheads NY. So far I only know of two going from this area (from NJ), anyone else from NJ NY CT going.
Here is the list of Hotels in the area that I posted earlier.
The Hilton Garden Inn is very close to the Country Inn & Suites
The Holiday Inn is at the next Exit.
My SSR: 2004 Smokin' Asphalt #13522. Flowmaster Catbacks, Green Filter, Cold Air Induction, SuperChips Tune

I just canceled my reservation at Country Inn & Suites because my e-mail confirmation indicated it was a smoking room. So it would be available if you don't mine smoke.
I immediately made reservations at Hilton Garden Inn and non-smoking rooms were available.
