Finger Lakes - Watkins Glen Videos

FINALLY!!!

I have finished the Finger Lakes Watkins Glen videos. These took awhile to get the settings to work with YouTube. There are two short videos. The first one shows my acting debut, stepping out from behind the camera, in "A Fanatic's Dream". The second is a cool camera accident. I left the camera on record at the end of the day when we met before dinner on Saturday evening. I captured some cool reflections in "Clouds on BluDragon".

I hope everyone enjoy's these. I want to thank Dave and Laurel again for setting this run up, especially the Laps at atkins Glen. This was probably one of the coolest things I have done in the SSR.

I realize that the quality of the video isn't the greatest on YouTube, and a lot of folks have asked for CD's or DVD's of some of the previous videos. I am planning on releasing a DVD at the end of the year that will have all of the videos from this year's runs, including these two, Spring Covered Bridge Run and Springfield. I still have the Sink's trip to work on and the Chocolate/Covered Bridge Run next weekend.

For those who are interested in receiving a DVD, I ask for your patience and PM me your mailing address. I will start compiling a distribution list for the DVD.

Awesome!

I can't even imagine how much time it took to prepare the track graphic and sync it with the cruise....ummm...I mean race.

Excellent work! Thanks for sharing!

Thumbs up Worth the wait

Brian that was awesome. Your creativity in putting that together was amazing.
The running order and lap position guides were really cool.
Your acting debut in "A Fanatics Dream" was pretty good too!.

I will definitely want the DVD of this one.

For those of you who were not there, we got to run three laps on the track.
The gentleman who drove the Pace car told us two things before we started.

1. We will stop on the front stretch for pictures after the second lap.
2. Don't pass the Pace car.

We got to run on the long track, the full 2.5 miles.
We could go anywhere on the track and could go as fast as you wanted.
Although the brochure said that you would be traveling at 45 to 55 mph., the pace car
was zipping around the track at a pretty good clip.
I looked at my speedo a couple times and was near 70.
It was a blast.

Anybody want to do it again next year??

I do.
