New england chapter tee shirts !

Hello NE area Fanatics !

I have been in touch with a professional graphic artist regarding getting an original design made up for the New England Chapter of SSR Fanatics. He has had his artwork in Collectible Automobile, Hot Rod, Scale Auto, Model Cars, Rod & Custom, Mustangs & Fords, ( I won't hold that against him ) and others. I know him through the model building community.

I recently noticed some shirt designs he had done for other clubs. I told him I would like to see an original design, maybe with a map of New England with the SSR bursting through it, but I am open to suggestions. We can get just the artwork, or order shirts directly through him. I did tell him a one color setup of say black linework on a grey shirt would be best, at least pricewise.

So this post is to gauge interest in the idea. First let me know IF we did it, how many shirts would we be looking at, as I can't front the dough for 100 shirts. Second, if you have a concept of something other than what I mentioned, speak up. BUT remember it needs to be something that would garner interest from ALL of New England.

Jeff, You may want to make it the NE (NorthEast Chapter).
If you leave it the NE (New England Chapter) then you will probably only get orders for 5 shirts.

i'd be interested either way...New England or North East! But I agree that a North East Chapter may make more sense. Therefore; maybe just mentioning the name/area rather than having the SSR busting through a line-art form of the region.

I would be interested in the designers ideas on this.

You can also go to an online outfit like Zazzle, or cafepress, give them the design, and they print them to order for anyone that wants them. That way you don't have to stock/mail them, and the customer can pick the size/style/color they want. I think there are a couple other places that do that too.

I've used Zazzle several times myself. I was thinking that exact thing. Any ideas where I can get my hands on a really good image of the SSR line art shape and logo? Anyone? I am interested in making something up for myself if there wont be "chapter" shirts.

Thanks!

Look through the forums at pictures, signature lines, and avatars. You might see something you like, a contact that person. Or even more gooder, start a thread asking for artwork, you'll probably get a big response.
