NJ Lighthouse Challenge Oct 18th

If you are not going on the Chocolate/Covered Bridge Run and are looking for something to do that weekend, please look at the NJ Lighthouse Challange.
It is only run on one weekend a year and I am thinking this would be a good area event for 2009, so I am going to try to run it this year and see what it is about. I am going to do the whole run on Saturday but if we do this next year it should be for Saturday and Sunday. If you are interested, check out the details on www.njlhs.org/challenge. All the information that you need is available on that site. I am going to start at Sandy Hook and am scheduling to arrive by 7:30 AM. You're right. It will take both days to do it all and climb all the lighthouses. Mitzi & I have done it five years! We would be interested in doing it with the SSR group. It is fun and interesting. Good food in Wildwood too where we usually stay on Saturday night.

I was just planning to do the run on Saturday, without climbing the Lighthouses just to get a feel for it for a two day event next year.

Don't know where my head has been lately. The date of the NJ Lighthouse Challenge is Oct 18th and 19th. I am still going to try and do it on the 18th. I don't plan to climb each light house but do the run as a tune up to a SSR weekend next year. You are welcome to join me on the 18th at the Sandy Hook Lighthouse where I intend to start. Sorry for the confusion.

Now that the Covered Bridge and Chocolate Run is over, is anyone interested in joining me to do the Lighthouse Challenge in 1 day as a trial for a full weekend next year. Contact me if you are interested and I will make copies of the run and have them with me at Sandy Hook Lighthouse which is the first lighthouse on the run. This could be a fun day and the weather is supposed to be dry.
