NJ Meet - April 13th, 2008 - Liberty Science Center

Postponed 'til sometime after MV
Liberty Science Center
Liberty State Park
222 Jersey City Boulevard
Jersey City, NJ 07305
Liberty Science Center

I haven't been there since they've redone it, but it was a blast, even back then. Lots of shows, information, and hands on experimental stuff. I really think everyone will have a great time...there's something for everyone...especially you inquisitive types.

Fees:
Parking - $5 (includes parking for the Statue of Liberty, if you want to head over there too)
Exhibit only - $15.75
IMAX Only - $9
J.D. Williams Only - $4
Exhibit + JDW + IMAX - $24.50
Exhibits + JDW - $18.50
Exhibits + IMAX - $22.75

I figure we'll just do the Exhibits and JDW show (JDW Schedule here). If you want to hit the IMAX too, we can do that independantly (IMAX Schedule).

Lunch:
There is a cafeteria that we can meet at...inside the center (Don't expect anything fancy). We can set a time to meet there, after we mill around for a bit.

If you plan on attending, reply to this thread, or send me a PM. If anyone wants to take a trip from out of state, this would be a great time to do it! I'll be happy to help out with planning accommodations
**If I know at least 20 of us are going, we can get a group discount which would save us a few bucks, plus one free person (which we can just deduct from the total and add to our discount).**

Attendees:
CrosscheckFreak (Steve and Nancy - NJ)
NVR2OLD (Allan and Glennis - NY)
BSTPAPA (hopefully) (Bob - NJ)
chevssr (Ed and Kathy - DE)
PO'd Lobster Guy (Scott and Wendy - NJ) Driving my

Horrible road conditions in that area. Beware of potholes and ruts galore.

So far so good...but it failed inspection for emissions. The guy at DMV said it's probably because of the new battery, and I should just have to drive it around a bit. Everything on the computer was coming up, 'not ready'. I hope he's right.

Nancy took it out a few days ago, and said it was sluggish....really...that's what she said. I think she must have been smoking something (and I don't mean just the tires).

You two should come out. It's only a few hops, a bunch of skips and a gaggle of jumps away. I'll take you to a seafood restaurant near the ocean, and you can get a nice steak.
