Possible Cruise Destination

I have been asked by a friend of mine that is a volunteer at the Owls Head Transportation Museum to extend an invitation to both the SSR and Prowler groups to their “Custom Vehicles & Antique Aeroplane Show" to be held June 19 & 20, 2010. The Museum is located in Owls Head, Maine just two miles off of Route 1 & about 85 miles North of Portland. You can obtain more information about both the show and the museum by visiting their website www.ohtm.org/

I would think both the ride up scenic Route 1 and the museum/show would make for a spectacular summer cruise.

My family is planning on attending (and bringing both the SSR & Prowler) however due to my sons baseball commitments and related travel schedule our plans could change at anytime. As it stands right now that weekend appears to be open and we will make every effort to keep it that way.

Due to the fact that I can’t be 100% certain that we can make it and I have no experience organizing a SSR/Prowler cruise, I am hoping that someone else will step up to the plate and put something together. I can provide the contact information to set this up with the museum. I can tell you that the Museum is very excited about the possibility of having a number of SSR's & Prowler's attend their event.

I would like to know how much interest there is in attending this event and if there is anyone willing to organize & plan a group cruise. I will certainly do whatever I can to help out.

I have also posted this on the Prowler site.

Thanks,

Frank (FMP)

I'm definitely interested. I attended the recent meet and greet at Unos in Springfield next to the BBall Hall of Fame.

Tom,

We also had a blast at the Basketball Hall of Fame meet.

Jeff,

Fathers Day weekend should be perfect, us fathers should have a license to do what we want to do that weekend right? We certainly do whatever our wives want to do for Mothers day! We are going to make this a family trip/weekend.

Look at some of the museum examples on their website. It reminds me of old Rhinebeck in NY. I personally feel this will be an awesome cruise.

No problem, sounds good to me, I just wanted to let others know, in case there was a conflict. I have never been, but always wanted to go. My dad used to go with his flying buddies, leave from the local airport and land up near there.
