Prowler & SSR Cruise

This event is being planned by a local friend and Prowler owner. We have had several events with both Prowlers and SSR's in the past. The last one in the White Mountains of NH was all Prowlers and one SSR (me). It was a fantastic time. Many of the local SSR owners have been on cruises with the Prowlers in the past and know what a fun group they are. Unfortunately I may be in Texas for the National SSR Event.

Here is the information that was e-mailed to me.

Hi Boys & Girls
Ron Raymond is planning another Prowler Cruise for the Northeast Prowler Group & has asked me to post this for him.

Ron as always puts alot of time & effort in his plans to get Prowler owners together on as casual & fun basis to keep things intresting.

I will also be posting this on the POA site, but just wanted to give the Northeast Group a heads up first.

I am also still working on a cruise & movie in the Litchfeild Hills of Conn, but have not heard back from the people who own the Drive-in movie as they are away in Florida for the winter but I will update this cruise as soon as I can get some kind of confirmation from them so I can come up with a plan for it, I will update this cruise when I know better
........................................................................

A big thanks should go out to Ron Raymond for what he has done for the Prowler owners in the Northeast for the past few years getting & keeping us together

Here is a copy of what Ron has asked me to post for him
Hey Will,

These are thoughts that Marianne and I put together.

Subject: Friendship cruise.
Date: June 27-28
Destination: Cruise the seacoasts of New Hampshire and Maine.

Lodging: The Ogunquit Resort Motel, Right on Main St. in Ogunquit. I am waiting for a response from Management there regarding accommodations and group rates, based on availability and interest. Continental breakfast. It’s a great hotel.

Rendezvous Location : Seabrook Rest Area. Route 95
Detailed Directions to follow.

Activities: First stop, Hampton Beach. Cruise the boulevard and check out the sand and the surf.

Drive on up to the North Beach along Rye and savor the views of the ocean and mansions of New Hampshire’s North Shore.

Moving on towards Maine’s coast, Nubbles Light on Cape Neddick is a must see. (bring your cameras). Rolling along, there are stops at Ogunquit Village, Kennebunkport and the scenic back roads of coastal Maine’s villages. The Stroll along the Marginal Way is spectacular with views from the cliffs of Ogunquit and the Atlantic.

Hotel Activities: Swimming and socializing around the outdoor pool and hot tub. Tentative Barbeque (Saturday evening) Trolley ride to Ogunquit Village from the hotel. Optional: Night Cruise through the Village of Ogunquit.

Good Morning Ron

The Ogunquit Resort Motel is located on Route One, approximately one mile north of the center of Ogunquit and about 1/4 mile from the Footbridge Beach. There is a trolley service in Ogunquit, which has a pick up right next door to our property. This trolley runs from 8am until 11pm and costs $1.50 per person each way.

We have rooms available for the dates requested, as well as plenty of parking. The regular rate for a Superior Room with either 2 queen beds or 1 king would be $149 plus tax for the Saturday and $139 plus tax Sunday. I would be willing to give your group a rate of $129/night plus tax for staying both Saturday and Sunday nights.

Outdoor grilling is not available at the motel. However, there is a great place a short walk from the motel BeachFire Bar and Grille, Ogunquit, Maine, Restaurants in Ogunquit, Maine, Dining In Ogunquit, Maine that has an outdoor fire pit and entertainment, which might be a lot of fun for the group.

Continental Breakfast in included. It's a light breakfast, which consists of: toast, ceral, muffins, donuts, coffee, tea, fruit.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

Leah

Hope to see old Friends & meet new ones

Willie

Charlie,

I won't be able to make the Maine/NH cruise but I'm definitely interested in the Litchfield, CT. cruise/movie get together if and when it materializes.

Looks like I won't be going.
One of my customers forgot to send me an updated schedule for a start up.
It was supposed to be in August but it is really next week.
I have to be available Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
How does a mistake on their end turn into an emergency for me.
I guess it is because they are a paying customer.
Birthday party for my daughter on Sunday.
