My SSR: Red 2003 with running boards and a red headed passenger
Ssr nrg
Fellow Fanatics,..
We need some N R G (Energy) in this Forum !!!
We are already starting a quiet "off season" in the North East Forum.
2010 season is coming to an end. Soon, we will put our SSR away for winter slumber (if not already).
Although our baby will be tucked away from salt hell, our passion never fades.
Please keep in mind! There is a lot more to the Fanatic phenomenon then the vehicle.
Everyone we met has turned into friends, Some seem like we’ve known them for decades. They say “theres one in every crowd”. BUT So far, I haven’t met a Fanatic I didn’t like…. Perhaps Im that “one” …
There are a lot of quiet people sitting in the shadows, checking in on the forum to see if "something is going on"…. If nothing is new, they sign off. As time goes on we will bore with the site and loose interest. The more members we loose, the more boring the site will get.
It is up to all who read this post to keep our spirit alive,.. especially thru winter!
Lets put together some meet-n-greets-n-eats, lets start a game forum, a NE tec time post, a “visitor to the area” post? Everyone around the world should feel free to visit and post on all Forums,..
Someday YOU from Australia might want to visit New England, or YOU from Texas might want to visit Vancouver Canada. When that time comes, you can contact a Fanatic from that area,.. I am confident you will have a friend there to show you their area with pride.
Every Forum on this site is important to every SSR Fanatic. If we start loosing members, we start loosing opportunities to attend events and meet friends all over the world.
Keep The Spirit Alive !!!!

I'm still here
at least until tomorrow.
Then I'm off to Ohio with checkbook in hand.
There's nothing in the checkbook but I can dream can't I.
We do need to have another Meet & Great before the snow flies.
I haven't seen Wild Bill and Cori since July 4th weekend.
I still have a package for you.
As far as visitors to New England, just look at how well Dictator was treated when he visited.
He was fed well while being held captive.
Most of the threats were idle.
We finally let him go without our demands being met.
Actually we just couldn't take the whining and crying any more.
Everyone in the Northeast has to just pop in and say HI once and a while.

Ever wondered how fast your SSR will go in the quarter mile, got a friend or neighbor you want to put in their place ? Budds Creek Raceway does have open days for just such events, get an accurate time and speed in the quarter mile. If we have enough SSR's I think we could have SRR day at Budds Creek. We can put to rest the myth that a stick shift is faster, yes MYTH.
There is a motel close by that is run by a fellow SSR'r, should be able to get a very good rate. It is not a four star, I'd be shocked if they have one star, no food, no pool just a place to crash. Lot of good seafood close by.
Down side is I think it has to be on a week day. If there is any interest, I can make a few calls to check on pricing and availability. They do have a web site, Budd's Creek Raceway. I think they have a dirt track also, N O T recommended.
This fall, this winter or next year, let me know the general feelings.

A cool invitation, where is it?
Also,.. sometimes our local track will recongnize special interest groups to run heats for spectator entertainment durring their weekend events.. this will open us to weekends, front row seats, and "show off value" ...
Its worth a winter M-E-G (Meet-Eat-Greet)

Still here.
Had a very nice summer and really enjoyed my one and only meet this year.
It's been a crazy year for us.
No snow yet - too cold for topless though
