Virginia Cave and Wine Run July 18th

Gang,
There's a group of us looking to hold a Cave and Wine Run in North West Virginia the weekend of July 18th. We're looking to get a head count of how many people may be interested in joining in. Here's the general idea.
  • Meet at 10am in Front Royal VA, for Breakfast.
  • Leave at 11am for Laray Caverns
This way anyone coming from a distance can meet up at Laray Caverns with us about 11:30-11:45.
  • After the Cavern, we'll hit up 2-3 Wineries with some wonderful scenic drives in between.
  • Check into a hotel in Front Royal VA (hotel TBD) about 5-6pm.
  • Dinner, drinks and a live band at Griffin Tavern in Flint Hill. (We're looking into a group ride to dinner so those that want to drink will not have to drive).

We're looking for a general count of those who are interested in joining in as soon as possible. This way we can secure a good hotel rate for the group as well as for the Caverns and the ride arrangements to and from dinner. Evidently, there is a very cool band playing Saturday night at the Tavern and it should be a great time.

So... if this sounds like fun, let us know your interest. We will be posting more detail once we get a count.

I hope everyone is having a great summer so far and looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible in July!

Wine Run

If you're asking if Julie and Dave will be there, yes we will.

Nice picture of you and your granddaughter, Jim. Congrats to your family!

By the way, this should be posted under the Southeast region, not Northeast.

Julie, You're right! I just posted under the Southeast too! My mistake! Such a notherner! LOL!

Also.. unfortunately, the other part of our group, Slowrider, can't make this weekend! Darn family reunions anyways!

Just a bump to see if there's any interest in this. It should be a fun time!

Yeah... I'm finding the last minute timing is really bad for most people. Not only do many people have their July already scheduled, many are going on the Happer Ferry run which should be a blast too! I think I'm just going to chalk this one up to bad timing. Us and another couple are going... so we'll scope it out this year and see if it's worth planning for in advance next year.

We recently did a weekender with 2 couples here in Potsville PA a month or so ago (Brewery and Wine tour with an all night pub crawl) and it was definitely a hoot! One we'll share with the Fanatics who want to join in next year!
