I don't know where they all went.
It has become kind of frustrating Wild Bill.
I send out e-mails to all the locals I have info on and may get 2 or 3 responses.
The last one that went out about your event on the July 4th weekend was typical.
Twenty seven e-mails. Two responded. (The count didn't include you, Jeff or myself)
One in RI had sold his SSR (he bought it last Fall) and another from CT was going to be away with his family.
Hi Wild Bill. John and I would travel North if he had some vacation days. John started a new job in November and had 3 vacation days. In February we were snowed in for three days. Employer deducted vacation days. We are looking forward to the Covered Bridge and Chocolate Tour which is local for us. Hope to see you and Cori there!

Hey PhotoBlur...
My lovely wife and I would love to meet you at Shady Maple sometime for a little SSR convention!!
I see a few SSR's in our area, I always tell people about our forum, but have yet to see anyone else "local"
Carol and I made a Shady Maple run a few weeks ago...AWESOME.
We live between Shippensburg and Carlisle, PA....what part of Lancaster Co. are you from??

We live in Southern Lancaster County. If you're thinking of traveling to the New England area, WildBillandRed plan some great tours. They are a great group of people in the New England states. There are other SSR owners in Lancaster County, but I don't see any of them among the SSRFanatics.
We must have a lot of GARAGE QUEENS in the NE. I bought my SSR to drive and meet other owners. We only had a small turnout at the Meet and Eat that we just had.
I'm hoping that some owners show up on Monday Nite for dinner with Dictator.
I even got him to run a Tech Day on Tuesday and haven't seen many guys take advantage of his expertise.
Lets see who shows up on Monday/Tuesday

No Garage Queen Here!
We certainly bought ours to drive!
Last summer we did a roadtrip to our freinds in Ole' Mizzoo and then ran through the smokies back to home...it was GREAT! ( about 2000 miles total)
Unfortunately we do most of our travelling south...I have to keep a closer eye on the NE thread. We travel a lot plus have some busy work schedules getting in the way sometimes...Anyhow I look forward to meeting as many fanatics as possible!!

CQQL SSR ...
I feel your pain brother. Its a lot of work putting together these events. The payback we get is good times with great people.
Thing is.... no matter how many show up, We always have an Awseome time !!!
PHOTOBLUR ....
We are so glad to hear from you. We had a great time hanging with you in 2008. We would love to get together with you soon!!
Cori doesnt have much for vacation time, so we are doing a lot of local chillin... a day here and there for long weekends.
Thanks for the nice words... It falls under the "IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE" category... Your good people too.
PUGPOWER ....
We see you on here now and then. someday we'll meet, maybe the Lancaster event in the fall
BSTPAPA ...
I know theres 3 SSR owners in my town that bought them, put them in their garage, and there it sets... a $50,000 Knic-Knac that a desendant will enjoy.

Theres a Covered Bridge/ Chocolite Run, Usually the begining of Oct.
We went to it once.... It is a great time.
We were guided thru 15 covered bridges and went to a bunch of Chocolite factories.
The best part was meeting a great group of Fanatics.
We will try to make it this year, but looks grim.

We would love to be able to attend all of the NE events. This past year was extremely difficult and Ed and I have a lot of catching up to do. We plan on attending the Finger Lakes Run. Wanted so badly to do the fourth, but unfortunately.....
We have always had fun with all the Fanatics and hope to be able to get back into the groove.
Thanks for putting together the events. This SSR owner bought it to drive it!

Roll call
We are from NEPA. I have been a fanatic for over 1 year. I own my R for 11 months and have put over 10,000 miles on it since I've owned it. We do most of our travel in the winter ( Florida). Mostly in the summer we are busy around home. It is difficult to drive 100 miles to have lunch with some other fanatics. The only NE event I think I'm going to make this year is the Watkins Glen Run.
As far as the Tech days with Dicktator, anyone that misses them and wants what he sells is foolish if you don't get them while he is here. He sells the accessories at cost and installs them free.HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT. I went to one in Florida and had the turn signal mirrors, blinking brake light and roof compartment insulation installed. It was done professionally and I am 100% satisified. I didn't know he would be doing it in the northeast or I would have waited. Thanks for listening, Walter
Bought a project in March, put it in the driveway, haven't got around to getting it going yet, unfortunately my SSR and wifes 63 Vette are in that side of the garage. Can't get them out yet. Hopefully soon. Too many toys and not enough time.

cruisin'
Bren and I are raring to go! We plan on making a record number of events this year. But speaking of events, what ever happened to the cruise to Owls Head, I believe that was supposed to be this weekend, and I couldn't even find it on the NE thread anymore?
If Charlie and I ever get out 'stuff' together and dates resolved maybe we can work out a Cape Cruise some day, then we will have to see how many will show up for that. John said at MV a number of folks asked about it.

I know the feeling. Just bought another one yesterday at the local "F" dealer. Need this one like a hole in the head.

Advanced age?? You are going to pay for that one John.
I do remember you being at the latest events. It is the list of others that have disapeared that we are looking for.
You are a newbie my friend.

Good to see
Its good to see life coming back to the NE forum.
Dont get me wrong,.. I wasnt ranting about attendance at the events, we all know how life gets busy. I spent the last 4 years as Director/State Coordinator for H.O.G. Red and I have been working on the house for months...We missed out on lots of events. We wont make most of the NE events... maybe next year.
I was aiming to get folks back chatting in the forum.
This is a great resource for trouble shooting, picking an event that fits, but most of all... Meet some great people.
Red and I made lots of friends. Unfortunatly, some of them have sold their SSRs and in one case MOVED TO AUSTRALIA ?!?!
We all have thousands of friends we havent met yet.
We can cover a good many right in here.

Ufortunately I've been very busy this summer. Trying to get my house in order, Daughter, son in law, and grand dauther living with me. It's all been keeping me hopping. I'm hoping things will slow down so I can enjoy the fall events.

I hear you with the whole 'hole in the head' deal. Did I need this? No. But couldn't pass up a one owner garage kept 76 Scottsdale Cab/chassis with a 454 with only 9400 miles. Not to mention the onboard generator, air compressor, and hydraulic pump.

Hi. Have not been active R wise. I keep missing the Covered Bridge run for one reason or another. Great event if you have not been there.
My picture is on the wall at Harold's...right next to Bstpapa. Neat place to Meat N' Eat.

I Know what you mean... Theres a lot of action all over the country,.. seems the NE is sleeping.
Im trying to booster the spirit up here.
Cori and I would love to go to MV, Wooward, and nationals,.. just dont have the time to incorperate days of driving into our vacation.
The older our "R"s get,.. the more we should stick together.
