Atl Rolling Dinner July 19

Big Daddy proposes the Tanger Outlet in McDonnough, off south 75. Then a cruise to a BBQ joint!

So Daddy, time to be there at Tanger? And, exit number if you can please.

If SSRRose comes they will need to pack cloths!

Also, Dragon 2U says he'll take the October Date for a car show at the Museum, again down that way. More to come as we get closer, but save the date for 10/11. Maybe an all day event!

The October car show is a good one, I will have to miss it this year for a trip to the islands. I think Dragon posted that there was a cruise in at the Tanger outlet that Saturday night, does anyone know what time it starts?

We could plan to meet around 3:30 then cruise out for a barbeque, then back to the outlet for the cruise in.

I hope to be at the Tanger center this time. Here is a snippet about the event:

"Tanger Outlet Classic Cruise Car Show
03/15/08 to 10/18/08
Join in the fun and remember the good old days when cruisin' was the thing to do those hot summer nights. A Classic Cruise Car Show is held every third Saturday of the month from 5pm - 9pm (March - October) in the parking lot."

To all who are attending, I plan to get to the Tanger Outlet around 3 pm. After a little socializing, we can head down the road for a little barbeque, its a about a 20 minute ride. After eating we can return to the outlet for the car cruise in. See ya'll there.

I'm planning on it.

Our youngest daughter and husband are expecting a little boy in September (our 3rd grandchild ) so Kim is staying really busy.

I could be "Kimless" and depending on the weather I could be SSRless and on a Harley.

Bud, you're doing good.

George you are too for setting up the second one.

I'm still planning on being there tomorrow.

Infact, Summit Race Parts is the exit before Locust Grove (headding south). I need a couple things from them so I'll be at Summit by 1:00pm.

There's also a Bike Show tomorrow the exit before Summit.

July 19. Mcdonough, GA Kunckle Heads Summer Blowout, Live Bands day and night. Bike and Car Bikni wash. 99 cent draft and Tittie Shots

For you I confussed, that will be 2 exits before Locust Grove if you're headding south as I will be.

I'm over 100 miles from Locust Grove, so I might as well make a day of it...

Bud,
Be sure you corner David "SSRHEARTBEAT" and get him to help you in Georgia.
He has a lot of experince in Dinning, Hotels and Cruises.

You can make him one of your Ambassadors.

You may want to start talking about becoming the SSR Fanatic Georgia Chapter like Florida did.

Help disiminate information on all funtions for SSR's in Georgia.

Bud, Budhorse, would be good at that.

I vote Budhorse for "President of SSR Fanatics Georgia Chapter".

Hurrah!! For Bud!!!

Hi PP,
I think one or two may post a picture but by the time a few thought of the idea most of us were hungry and wanted to get on the road, hehehehehe

It was a nice get together, met some new people and had a nice time. I think Big Daddy was advertising for a new career with his t-shirt but I didn't see any takers but thanks to him and Bud for putting the event together. I think there is already a plan in the works for next month.

Hope everyone made it back home safe.

Thanks for everyone battling the traffic tio make it yesterday, we had 14 SSRs, some old friends and some new ones. I have a suggestion for the September gathering, Year One holds a car show in Braselton every month and there are some relly cool and unique things to see. If someone is familiar with the area, its near Road Atlanta, they couod scout for a place to meet & eat.

Check the details on the link below-

Ha, you beat me to mentioning this one! I had thought of this one as an option for the group.

Yes, I knew there is a cruise-in in that area once a month from April to October- (I thought it was in Hoschton, though). I will check the website to see if that is the same one I've seen listed on the American Street Rods' site.

It is kinda/sorta in my area (what with me living in South Hall, and btw my dad was born in the old hospital in Hoschton.)

There is not a lot going in there in the way of cool places to eat, though. I guess maybe the group could meet at Sonic in Oakwood (really bad traffic and horrendous road construction but it's right beside I-985) or Flowery Branch (not so much traffic but out-of-the-way from highways, but still easy to find though) and make a country-side road trip over to Braselton/Hoschton? If the cruise-in is indeed the one of which I am thinking in Hoschton then there is a Johnny's Pizza at the cruise-in locale. And there is the ubiquitous Cracker Barrel at Hwy 53 and I-85.

I don't know. I am not a good party hostess.

It is too freakin' hot around here to attempt this sort of thing in August, so don't even think about that idea!!

Well, it appears there are two cruise-in sites in that same area - and one is at Year One.

I had a good day yesterday and it was great to see everyone.

I put 358 miles on Kim's by the time I got back to the Line last night.

There were several suggestions for the next few months. I believe we can keep this going.

I have more than one good place to "meet And Eat"

That's two of my favorite things to do.

Thanks to everyone for making our second meet a grand success! As George mentioned we had 14, PLUS ONE!, who didn't know about the Fanatic site. They are Alton and Faye Pitts from Meansville, GA(down south of ATL Motor Speedway). They have a red R, and seem to want to associate with this motley group! I will be including them in my next series of emails regarding August. (Thats right August, 8/16 ) Michael and Linda Roe (SSROE) have a place in Loganville (Pizza joint I think) and an idea for a cruise to it, from Discover Mall. Stay tuned.

For September, the Year One Deal sounds great! Vickie, you want to ownership of this one to organize the cruise in and coordinate with Year One for parking? Each month we need an "Owner" of the date, which will help to keep one of us from burning out, while rotating the geographic location around the area. My role will be to be a pain in the A$$ to everyone, to communicate the info, and get participation!

For October, I think we have Pop Pop and George who offered the car show at Warner Robbins. As far as I am concerned lets INK IT IN! Pop, you want to own this one? (This IS October, right?)

So, for August, Michael / Linda will get me the details, and I will distribute them on personal email, after I start a new thread for that date here.

Thanks again all, and in case you are wondering I will have a donation bucket by the Horse R, in case anyone wants to help a "Brother" out on Bling!
Bud
