Atlanta Metro Rolling Saturday Dinner?

While In Maggie Valley, a few of us talked about a "rolling" dinner (or "cruise in") on one Saturday night a month, around the Atlanta Metro Area.

Thinking we meet somewhere for dinner, or get together and "roll up" to the eating establishment. We know how impressive a number of SSR's can be!

We could alternate the location around the metro area, so we cover all of the "town". Maybe the host of the dinner spot, is where we meet for that week?

So... Ideas, and a list of who would be interested (need screen names), is what we need to start.

Please either PM me, or post here. Thinking of the first one in Late June (June 21?), to be here in the Kennesaw area, (I will host, with maybe Kennesaw Phil?) Maybe Hooters, Barnicles, Sidelines?

Sounds good to us. We are about 100 miles from north Atlanta, but we would enjoy getting together--Kennesaw would be great for us. I have talked to others about doing something like this, but just haven't put a plan in place--glad you are doing it. Late June should work for us.

Sounds great to me also. Sandee and I are moving to our place about 20 miles south of Griffin. Move should be complete by then.

I am definitely interested. Live near Rome, so Kennesaw isn't a bad drive at all. Moved up here in the "sticks" from the Acworth / Kennesaw area when I retired; couldn't take the congestion anymore.

My wife can't attend. She's very ill, and on Emory's liver transplant list, but unless there is a drastic turn of events with her situation, I will try to be there. Please post updates as plans firm up.

Now, I'll have to figure out which 'R' to drive!

Will be in Suwanee at the daughters the last weekend of June....but...have a wedding and night reception to attend on Sat the 28th. I'll watch the schedule and the stars may align so I could attend one in the future.

Dragon2U lives in Warner Robins...hope he found a job.

Great idea!!!! I am not sure if I can make this run due to distance and other obligations but hopefully I will make it to one of the gatherings.

The Tanger Outlet near Locust Grove has a cruise-in every third Saturday of the month in the evening, maybe we could meet there for an early dinner and a hang out with the other toys that show up.

TO All:
I am working on the location this week. Looks like Hooters Kennesaw, but I need to meet with the manager to get "special" treatment! Like parking..!
If you all can, PM me your personal email. I will start a list through which I sand the details. Then, for the next location we can provide the list to that person, etc//etc..
Looks like 4-5 certain, some iffie. But we have to start somewhere!

I had (good & meaningfull) intentions in doing this for the past year or so... but ...

During that evening, Kim and I will be in Daytona for our regular summer fling of:

sea soaking, sand sturring, suntan sensation, and seafood stuffing.

Email is out to all locals (and a couple Floridians) for whom I have names. Please advise if anyone is missing, that you know are here in the metro area, and might be interested.

FYI to the rest of the world.
First HotLanta SSR Meet and Greet is 6/21 @6pm @ Hooters (where else!) Kennesaw GA.
We hope to get between 5-10 for the first date. Ya'll come, Ya hear?

P.S Ladies, PLEASE don't let Hooters scare you off. I see less clothing at the local High School bus stops than the Hooters Girls wear. And there is cold Adult refreshments, and HOT WINGS!

Update!!!
Counting 5 attendees! Doesn't seem like many, But Dick Belleville told me he had 3 (I think) at his first meet and greet on the left coast of Fla.!
Would like to get to 10. Call your friends. I might buy the first round!
Also, working on T shirt designs, specific to a "Hotlanta SSR Club" design. Nothing firm yet, stay tuned. At least I hope to have some artwork to show the class, at Hooters on 6/21.

I think because of scheduling each month, we should skip till July 19th, which would be the 3rd Saturday of that month. Getting everyones schedule together on short notice is tough.

SATURDAY IS STILL ON! Rain or Shine, but I know Rain might scare some off. But to reschedule at this late date, wouldn't be prudent (as W's Daddy used to say)Try the "Daytona" Wings during the evening! My Fave!
