We are looking to get some SSR's together in Louisville, Kentucky for
lunch, some conversation and some crusing. We are looking to
do this on Saturday September 12, 2009 around noon. We are open to any other ideas and see if there is any interest. Rain or bad weathers cancels.
Let's do it!! Maybe some of the gang that used to come to the meets at Bernheim Forest in the past years can make it too. I just hope the weather is nice so can get a little sun. If we stay around the Louisville area...we might be able to pull some Northern Ky. and Cincinatti SSR'S too.
Thanks John...Keep us posted!
Hi all, We are newbies, just had our SSR a few weeks, and love it all ready. Just been waiting to meet more SSR owners and make new friends. This looks like a great opportunity. We would be driving down from the Dayton OH area. Would be happy to meet up with more SSRs along the way. Where would the group be meeting for breakfast? Thanks Ken & Sue Alexander.
Congratulations on your SSR purchase! I am glad you are enjoying it
and happy you have decided to come and join us on September 12th.
The Fanatics web site is great, and the great people involved with it
make it better. We don't have all the plans finialized yet but I will
keep you informed. I am hoping some other SSR's will join you on
the trip here.
Thanks
John
I've been talking to John Anderson about plans for the Sept. 12th cruise. We are planning to meet at the Crown Plaza Hotel parking lot which is near the Louisville Airport off of I 264 interstate, the meeting time to be around 10 AM. Here's link Crowne Plaza Hotel LOUISVILLE Hotels | LOUISVILLE-ARPT KY EXPO CTR . | Welcome.
From there we will travel to Huber's restaurant located in southern Indiana about 25 miles north of Crown Plaza. I am suppling a link to Huber's restaurant and their winey below. Home Huber's Orchard & Winery
Huber's is a great place to eat (check out their menu on their web site) and their winery. A cruise route though southern Indiana will also be planned after lunch depending on time.
I think everyone will have a good time, looking forward to meeting new friends. Anyone having questions feel free to contact me or John Anderson, my info below.

Dan, thanks for posting the links to Huber's and the meeting place. I spoke with Huber's Saturday and they said if we get ther around 11:00 a.m. or
so we would be able to park together in the back area. Also he said they
have an area we can use for conversation and just getting together. I would
suggest that everyone bring some chairs with them if possible. I am hoping
we can get some more people from Indiana and Ohio to join our travelers
from there. Also I would love to have some others from Tennessee and other
areas of Kentucky. Everyone is welcome from anywhere! Huber's said they
had 75 Corvettes there 2 weeks ago for a meet.
I know the weather has been unpredictable this year and we are hoping for great weather but I will not let a little rain keep us from having it. So
rain will NOT CANCEL IT. We can still have our fun and enjoy being together.
If you have any questions PM me.
Thanks
John
This brings us up to 12 cars and counting. Great!
And still havent heard from the TN folks. If they can get pass all the corvette's meeting in Bowling Green this week.
We will be leaving E'town (exit 94) from Shoney's Parking lot about 9:00 AM. For anyone that wants to join us and caravan to Louisville.
Let me know.

Hi Fanatics,

Welcome Chatman from KY. We love newbie's. Wish you could make this one. PM me with your email address and I will make sure you know when/where the next get together is planned.
Hope to meet you all soon.

I want to thank everyone that has signed up to attend the SSR Meet on September 12, 2009. It looks like we will have between 15 and 17 SSR's as of now. If there is anyone else that would like to come we would love to have you. It is not too late to join us. We will be meeting in the parking lot
of the Crown Plaza Hotel at 830 Phillips Lane at 10:00 am. Dan posted a link
to the meeting place and also to Joe Huber's Farm Restaurant. The weather
forcast is GREAT! They are saying sunshine with a low of 68 that morning
and a high of 80 degrees in the afternoon. That makes a Fantastic SSR Day!
I am looking forward to meeting everyone!
If anyone needs to get in touch with me you may call

The lastest weather report for Louisville and Southern Indiana for Saturdays SSR get together is a low of 63 high 82 and sunny!
Anybody that's on the fence about coming well jump over to good food, good company and cruising. This will be a Fanatic day! The last I talked to John there are 18 SSR's coming, but we have room for more.
Huber's serves good home style cooking so wear comfortable clothing that expand! The winery is a couple miles from their restaurant which you can sample and purchase.
Huber's is a large area but it wouldn't hurt to bring your fold up chairs and wear comfortable shoes.
Just a heads up for the out of towners or people not familiar with the Louisville area. The Crown Plaza Hotel is next to the Airport/Fair and Expo Center off of I 264. If you follow the signs to the Fair/Expo Center it will lead you to Phillips lane next to the hotel. Again the meeting time is 10AM in the Crown Plaza Hotel parking lot, if you are running late call my cell @ 502 593-1376 and we will hold the caravan within reason.
Thanks to John, Loretta, Dan and all who made this a great run. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this great day! Photos attached from Huber's Parking lot where we stopped for lunch.
A Special Thanks to all that attended the Joe Huber's Meet September 12th especially those that came in from Tennessee, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and other areas of Kentucky. A big thanks to all the locals and Daryl, Dan and
Susie for all your help. We had fantastic weather for it. It was great meeting some Fanatics again and meeting some new ones. The weather was Fantastic..
Thanks John for coming up with the idea and thanks to everyone who helped put it together. Marty and I had a good time and the food was wonderful.

A big thanks to all that traveled so far to join us on this run. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. And a special thanks to the Louisville R's that made this happen. Maybe you all should think of doing a national. A lot to see in KY.

Is Kentucky the State where they do the house boating cruises?
